GS and ATL are playing great this season for sure, but let's not get ahead of ourselves and compare them to the 95-96 Bulls.

Shut the fuck up.

They need a bigger presence at his position during the playoffs. They are a playoff team with or without him.

yet if the spurs were to cut ties with DG tomorrow that faggot ass mavs would swoon in for sloppy seconds in a heartbeat :lol
-
Re: Holy. Crap. Thompson.
Badass performance by Thompson... but DG hits his 3s in the playoffs. When it matters.
-
Re: Holy. Crap. Thompson.
If Klay gets that hot in a critical playoff team, how do you stop him?
-
Re: Holy. Crap. Thompson.
Danny Green is a great system player, I'll give him that. But Klay Thompson is miles better and it's not even close
- Klay Thompson is playing in his first ASG in a couple of weeks
- Klay Thompson didn't get cut and did not bounce in and out of the league before finding a system that tailor-fits his game
- Klay Thompson is part of Murcahn representation in FIBA competitions
Sure, Danny Green has two finals trips and one championship, but if you exchange Green and Klay right now, San Antonio might be the 35-6 team while GSW will be worse off. :lmao :lmao why are we even discussing this? If Klay was the one in place of Green and he was the one who went 13-13 in a quarter, the semen cloud would be unbearable.
Pop's Genius and the Spurs system is a work of art but if you put Klay and Danny Green one-on-one, I'm never going to bet on Danny Green. He will have nowhere to run against Klay Thompson.

Klay Thompson playoff numbers:
2012-2013: 10.1 PER(:lmao:lmao), 51.5% TS, #7 in Golden State's playoff rotation in On/Off metrics, #7 in Win Shares, 83% of his shots were assisted
2013-2014: 12 PER, 53% TS, #6 in GS's playoff rotation in On/Off, #5 in Win Shares, 75% of his shots were assisted
Danny Green playoff numbers:
2012-2013: 15.2, 60.5% TS, #2 in San Antonio's playoff rotation in On/Off metrics, #4 in Win Shares, 86% of his shots were assisted
2013-2014: 16.5, 65% TS(:wow), #3 in San Antonio's playoff rotation in On/Off metrics, #5 in Win Shares, 83% of his shots were assisted
NBA fans love to overrate playoff chokers, tbh..the past 2 years, see: Klay Thompson, John Wall, Joakim Noah, etc..
Anybody that compares Klay Thompson to Harden is a fucking imbecile, too..they aren't even in the same stratosphere:lmao..
Dude take it easy on him..

Who said Green is a bad basketball player? He has a specific set of skills that are useful to most teams. But it doesn't mean he has a chance at beating Klay Thompson in a game of 1 on 1, when Klay is bigger, stronger, more athletic, a better shooter, better scorer, better post up player, better defender, and better ball handler.

also, this is seriously the most typical gnsf response that could have been given. like you proved absolutely nothing in this reply, in regards to the discussion at hand. the only thing you proved is how much of a faggot you are, which everyone here already pretty much knew.
great job :tu

That was absolutely ridiculous first of all, never seen someone get hot like that .
But, Harden is the primary playmaker on the team and the focus of the entire defense...the team outside of him and maybe Dmo sucks balls. Watch those clips and you see that Klay is basically playing like Korver, catch and shoot, plays orchestrated by others on offense. Also, when people bring up defense...well...who do you think has more energy to exert on the other side of the floor given what said. Switch the two guys and the rockets are a lottery team.

Thompson only creates 30% of his own offense, compared to Harden's 75%..Thompson is limited in creating for others, while Harden is very good..it's a ridiculous comparison of a peripheral player like Thompson that lives off Curry and a stacked team, to Harden, an Alpha carrying an average cast led by a shitty coach..
It's like comparing Peja Stojakovic to Tracy McGrady, tbh..

Yup, but to m>s's defense, the 2 is at a historically weak level. As much as we hated on Kobe he was clearly a level above all the guys we've seen after him.

Re: Holy. Crap. Thompson.
To be clear Thompson is 1B but he should be the leagues most improved player this year by far
-
Re: Holy. Crap. Thompson.
Klay Thompson might be the 2nd best SG in the NBA(not too many others in the discussion..Jimmy Butler, Wade and Monta Ellis?), it's arguable, but I'm just saying, he's nowhere near Harden IMO..
The SG position is the same as the C position in the early 2000s, there's 1 guy at the top, followed by distant runner-ups that wouldn't be in the conversation in strong years..
-
Re: Holy. Crap. Thompson.
I've watched the highlight reel over and over again and damn it still gives me some goosebumps. Whatever you think of Klay Thompson, that was the best shooting display of any NBA player in a quarter...
