Not a surprise, but Swoopes will start at Notre Dame:
Posting this just in case y'all can see it.

Per 24/7, WR Collin Johnson will be in Austin on Sept. 12th and Sept. 19th for the Rice and Cal games.
His official visit will be after the season.
Lot of people talking about the number of freshmen and redshirt freshmen in the two deep. I counted only 5 on offense and 6 on defense in the two deep.
Offense has
Burt
Vahe
Williams
Heard
Rodriguez
Defense
Jefferson
Davis
Roberson
Townsend
Wheeler
Locke
Honestly it's not ideal but it isn't as bad as some would want us to believe. Biggest concern to me is two freshmen starting on the oline. Other than that I'm really liking what we have in experience and youth.
Damn, Gray on kick returns. Hope he stays healthy.
I know Ridgeway is a little knicked up but it's a little odd that Poona Ford is listed ahead of him. You'd think that if he's going to play he'd be listed as the no. 1, even if it's just a figure of speech with Poona taking a larger number of snaps. Seems really odd.
Other oddities:
- Dickson the Australian as the no. 1 punter? Wasn't he overtaken in camp by the walk-on, at least temporarily?
- No "Mack" Wide Receivers at all -- Garrett Gray (TE), Jake Oliver, Lorenzo Joe... maybe some transfer candidates since it's well known Strong doesn't like the Mack guys.
- Cameron Townsend as no. 2 Strongside Linebacker! Haven't heard anything about this guy in camp but it's good to see that he's coming along.
- No Breckyn Hager -- is he officially out for the ND game?
- Kevin Vaccaro as the no. 2 SS! Probably won't get to play much but at least he's still pushing for playing time. Another good sign that the guys are buying in, even the older ones.
Last thought: gotta wonder what the future of Fox End is going to look like since all three of those guys (Hughes, Roberson, Omenihu) are very young. That's really great and all but they all seem very talented and I'd hate for someone to transfer out. Maybe the Linebacker rumors for one of them is true? Especially if Townsend is no. 2 at Strongside LB and we haven't heard much about him.
24/7 saying DT Gerald Wilbon will not officially visit Texas Tech this weekend as previously scheduled.
Commitment coming?
Scout saying a commitment is in.
Talking about RB Devwah Whaley...
Doesn't make a ton of sense given the info on 24/7 but McTelvin Agim is supposed to commit this weekend via Twitter and Higdon said somewhere that our new commit will announce this weekend.
Normally I'd be like this is too wack (nobody has us on Agim's radar and he's from Ark.) but given how out of the blue Dickson's commitment was... you just never know.
Of course this is wild speculation. He's probably going to Arky.
With all that's been said, this might be Christian Wallace -- but since he's probably a safety in college, I'd much much rather have Brandon Jones and/or Deontay Anderson. We seem to have a very good shot at at least one of them. Wallace seems to have wanted to commit for awhile now.
Maybe it's a flip, also? Wishful thinking but... Hudson?!

Based on other sites I'm going to speculate that it's Whaley.
So if it is, then we are set at every skill position on offense. All we need now is big uglies. I'd say 3 or 4 and we can shut it down on offense.
Somebody gunna be runnin extra laps
A source on CB Obi Eboh of Southlake Carroll (24/7):
"Look for him to commit to Texas. He was taking his time until Texas offered. His mom is going to push him to commit."
