By the end of the year, I expect to see Texas become a very salty team, Baylor is not going to like playing Texas in December.
I also really like our chances against OU, Texas will have played two top 10 teams and OSU before we step foot in Dallas, Oklahoma will have only played Tennessee in that same time span. Texas will be much more battle tested for Oklahoma than the Sooners will be for Texas.
I still expect 9 wins this year possibly 10 with a bowl victory.
Lol i like this post. It'd be really funny if he was right

That prediction is about as good as me saying Romney would beat Obama. This team was a house of cards and they have all come down. Strong is going to have to prove he deserves to be head coach by picking up the pieces and turning this around. I'll be happy if we go over .500 right now, but I'm thinking 4-8 is about right.
And if that happens then I'll know for sure we didn't hire the right guy for the job. I already know we didn't hire the right AD that's for sure.

More ugly stats from Saturday...
-Saturday night was the second worst opening loss in UT history.
-third straight loss by 20+ points....first time ever in UT history.
-Arkansas and Notre Dame are the worst back-to-back offensive performances since 1950.
-Zaire of Notre Dame completed 86% of his passes...second best in Notre Dame history.
-Notre Dame had 364 more yards than UT...third worst differential since 1950.

I think they're gonna crush Rice. I'll take UT minus the points.

Re: 2016 Texas Longhorns Recruiting Thread
easy money, imo. I'll put a dollar on the horns

See, I want them to win but in a way that causes Watson to get fired.
-
Re: 2016 Texas Longhorns Recruiting Thread
I don't think Watson being fired will be a problem if they keep running Swoops out there. I think the reporter that asked about Watson being skewed for Swoops was right on the money. Its like he wants him to succeed that he is blinded by his ability. Swoops might have a stronger arm but accuracy is not there. Its not even close. I'd take my changes with short passes and run plays in an up-tempo offense, and Heard seems to be the guy for the job.

Re: 2016 Texas Longhorns Recruiting Thread
Any one got any info on the rumor of Watson not calling plays now?
Hopefully itll go to Traylor. The guy knows offense and would make an instant impact.

Scout said "big changes coming" earlier today.
Watson has his availability on Tuesdays, but he may not be the one speaking tonight.

Re: 2016 Texas Longhorns Recruiting Thread
I wouldn't mind the OC job going to Traylor mostly because the lack of trust I have in Watson but isn't Traylor in charge of Special Teams? It's well known now that Texas trotted out the Special Teams unit 3 times on Saturday with only 10 guys on the field. Wouldn't Traylor be responsible for the lack of detail? Not as big an issue as offensive problems just genuinely curious.

Strong announced Watson out as play caller.

Doesn't help that his recruiting has been quite poor.
