Oh and Patterson is still an ass by all accounts tho
We can't get rid of him soon enough. I have no idea what's taking so long. There is not a single entity on campus that likes the guy or thinks he's doing a good job. He's pissed off administration, alums, and big money donors. Every decision he makes is a giant cluster fuck. They could've had Oliver Luck and got the worst possible candidate instead.

Looks like TE Chris Clark may have already left UCLA:

CB Eric Cuffee of Waco High will not be at the Cal game (24/7):
“I talked to them last night, and they said they didn’t want me to come,” Cuffee said. “They didn’t really give me a reason. I don’t know why. Maybe I’ll take another official visit there some time. I don’t really know right now.”
“I still like Texas,” Cuffee said. “It’s one of my top schools. I just want to see Texas do better this season. You can tell that the coaches are doing a great job coaching, but I’m not sure if the players are owning up to it. I expect to see improvement in the defense.”
“Man, it was pretty tough to watch that game and watch Texas get thrashed like that,” Cuffee said. “But it happens. You just have to be able to bounce back from it and play your best.”
Rolling out for Austin. I'm going to be so trashed that the outcome of the game won't really matter.
Let the bender begin.
I don't see this staff lasting very long.
I like Charlie, but I don't think he is the answer. With that said, I think he will be here until December 2016 and that will be the end of that.
When we signed him I was on board as long as he picked the right guys to run the offense. He pretty much screwed that up and i said so from the beginning. I had no idea why we would take a OC that sucked so bad at both Colorado and Nebraska and expect him to do better at Texas. I had no idea why we brought in a WR coach that sucked ass under Fred Akers. I said back then that we down graded WR coach when we let the previous WR coach go (can't remember his name). My only hope was Watson was a good enough QB coach that we would finally have a competent QB again.
The one hire I loved was bringing in Wickline, so far that has also been a huge cluster. I still don't know how good a coach he is since we don't have the talent, but I know I don't like him as a recruiter. How the hell do you bring in two juco onlinemen and they aren't even good enough to get on the field. I'm not just talking about getting on the field because the online is good, our line is pure crap and they still can't get on the field.
I feel sorry for Charlie, I really wanted him to succeed, I love the atmosphere he is building, but he sucks at choosing assistants, and that is not a good thing when you delegate the entire offense to a bunch of crappy coaches.
Dont be, Cal does not have anywhere near the offensive and defensive line talent of a Notre Dame..Look, I too was very dissappointed in that game but it was the perfect storm. Legit top 10 ten team on the road with upper classmen all over the field. This UT team well improve every week and well finish bowl eligible.

Ke'Mon Freeman's stock should be rising like a rocket.
I know a new HC means a new staff. It is too bad they couldn't have kept Greg Robinson. Of all the coaches under Brown, he was my favorite. He could make some very tasty lemonade out of some very tart lemons. He instantly cleaned up the mess Diaz made of our defense. If we would have had any sort of offense, his defensive unit would have been even better......but they did wear down after being on the field basically all game.
I would love to see Malik with Robinson as our DC. IMO, he would be twice as impactful as he is right now.
I'm thinking Heard is starting based on how things look in warm-ups...
Anyone have a link to the game?
