Splits getting shat on again. What's new? :lol
Spurs were down 8 iirc when cojo came in with parker still running the point. Kawhi hit 2 shots with no assist from parker. cojo caused havoc with his defense and got a steal iirc. then he hit a shot and parker hit a couple more to close the half. kawhi was sucking early but you still have to go back to him imo. it's awesome that we won and I'm glad parker was aggressive but i'd like to see him mix it up more.

Cmon there are a lot of times to shit on TP but not tonight. 13-18 with many layups isnt chucking at all.
:lol Splits and that other worthless third world foreigner NASpurs are two constants of faggotry on SpursTalk.
Although both Tp and cojo did miss a lot of kawhi mismatches whixh was frusrrating as fuck to watch
"with no assist from parker" - yeah, but you aren't looking for Kawhi to get assists, right? You want him to get the ball, and everyone to get out of the way. All I'm saying that that Parker came back into the game, and 17 seconds later, Kawhi scored on his own. Then he did it again. So that stretch was exactly what you are looking for.
After that, it was dunk, layup, layup, layup. You just can't condemn the PG when a team is getting those shots - no matter who is shooting them. Even if Kawhi shot 80% while iso'd on someone, those were 100% shots that the Spurs were getting.
So I'm saying - Kawhi started out a little shaky. Then he was off the floor. Then he was in without Parker. Then he got a couple of the possessions you're looking for. Then the team got layups and dunks for a while. None of that is greedy play on the part of Parker.
And, like I said, mixed in with all of that were some touches where Kawhi didn't like the look, and kicked the ball back out. You can't blame Parker if Kawhi has the ball, but decides not to press.
Is it good for Kawhi to be leading the way these days? Sure. But tonight, Tony was getting to the hole, or getting other people there. That is never bad, if the defense allows it. Mostly, the Spurs looked bad early due to some sloppy play all around. Not because they were ignoring Kawhi. If Parker was really chucking, I'd be right there with you. I just didn't see it that way. But I can understand why it sort of felt that way. We weren't watching Kawhi bitch-slap defenders over and over again, like the last several games. But I think it's just the way things flowed tonight.
