Meh, Frenchie McWonderbutt is not on the floor for his defense, tbh.

He's right though. Playing defense is a lot more tiring than offense. By attacking a specific match-up, you force certain players to defend and it tires them out even faster if they aren't used to defend. Some people here don't seem to notice (and this is obviously not limited to this example) that Parker runs the loop on pretty much every play. Chasing Parker at full speed, keeping up with his cuts and fighting through screen after screen is going to make any player really tired by the end of the night. Which in turn is most probably why CP0 ends up choking in the clutch with poor decision making.

Re: Video: Tony Parker on Sportscenter
Let me get this straight. When tony runs right out the gym he tires his opponents? Must have a high defensive rating or something. :lmao

For what its worth CP3 (who is considered a good defender) has the same career defensive rating as Parker (both 104). Also not much separation this season with CP3 at 105 and Parker at 107, especially with him playing hobbled.

Not to ruin it too much but he probably leads his team in defensive rating. Have you seen that team defensively. No one really besides him. Parker is hiding with 4 great defenders for their positions.
Kawhi
Green
Tiago
Duncan
Some context for you. I'm pretty sure he would have a WAY better rating than Tony if they switched places.

Re: Video: Tony Parker on Sportscenter
Did this nigga just say that Chris Paul probably leads his team in defensive rating? No one really besides him? Okay......
Guess he has never heard of Deandre Jordan. You know the guy who can only dunk, can't make a FT, and is only on the floor because he's a defensive monster. The same guy who leads the league in Rebounds per game, Defensive win shares, is 4th in blocks per game, and is a DPOY candidate. Seems easy to miss that guy...
I don't have the defensive ratings in front of me.....but I'll stop posting forever if CP3 is ahead of DeAndre Jordan in defensive rating.
Also, is there one PG in the NBA who leads their team in defensive rating?

Re: Video: Tony Parker on Sportscenter
Common sense dictates Tony should be hidden on Barnes/Hedo, and save his energy for the offense, tbh
The only problem is that it makes too much sense, and I can see Doc running Barnes through some screens to simply have Tony chase him around. He's a good 3 point shooter, so simply running from top to bottom through a couple of screens can be effective and open up a shot for him if Tony isn't right on his ass. The obvious solution to that is switching or zone, but that opens a brand new can of worms, mismatches on the floor, etc.
At that point, there's nowhere to hide. Reddick also gets almost all his shots from pin downs. So might aswell put him on Paul and hope he can fight through the screens.

Didn't you see that other thread....we're putting TP on Jordan.

Wow 5 people in front of CP3 and one doesn't actually play.
People in front of CP3 - Lester Hudson DeAndre Jordan Ekpe Udoh Glen Davis Spencer Hawes
People in front of Tony Kawhi Leonard Tim Duncan Kyle Anderson Danny Green Austin Daye Jeff Ayres Tiago Splitter JaMychal Green Manu Ginobili Aron Baynes Cory Joseph Patrick Mills Boris Diaw Marco Belinelli Reggie Williams Matt Bonner
:lmao
That's the whole fucking san antonio roster and more. :lmao

Re: Video: Tony Parker on Sportscenter
What I was trying to imply is that you are a fucking tard for thinking that a PG leads a team in defensive rating. I'm not 100% on this....but I'd be willing to bet that there are exactly 0 PGs in the NBA that lead their team in that category.

But you know this is the worst he can say, right?
After he talked about Danny's 3's in the 2013 Finals, Green never hit one in the next games.
After he talked about Kawhi's team this season, Kawhi rarely touched the ball in the first half in the next 3 games.
Everytime Tony says something about his teammates he kills their games. He doesn't do this shit on purpose but...talk only about Ayres and Beli, Tony. PLEASE!
