Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
Talked to a source close to kawhi. Kawhi is eyeing an All-time performance tom. He is motivated and super pumped. Said, he has the same feeling as game 3 of the nba finals.
I was told he's going to focus on transition O and D...
Let's see what happens.

I hope he has an all-star type of performance :flag:

Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
Hopefully he goes off. A win tommorow will get the Clippers shook the rest of the way, something player counselor Tom won't be able to fix.

I was told kawhi is pumped for tom..all-star performance would be an understatement since that has been the norm with kawhi the last two months.
apparently, he feels like he can do more..
Let's see what happens.

SANTA MONICA – As the San Antonio Spurs ran through the final drills of practice at Santa Monica High on Tuesday, Tony Parker offered a statement that should send chills through those hoping to see a second Clippers playoff win Wednesday.
“I expect him to have a big game tomorrow,” Parker said.
The “him” is Kawhi Leonard, the rangy Spurs small forward from King High in Riverside, who might just be the most important player in the series.

Do yourself a favor and ask your source to kill you.

Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
Oh goody.. Now he will probably go 4-15..

Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
If this is right or not ... I would already have been pumped up for game 1 ... its the fucking playoffs and you need to be great consistently

Exactly...plus, where was everyone's motivation against the Pelicans (yes I'm still bitter lol)?

Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.

Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
I'd be happy if Barnes and Jamal don't go balls deep on him again tbh

I absolutely understand you regarding the Pelicans. Also before the playoffs I thought everybody was crazy taking Green (from the Dubs) over Kawhi as DPoY ... but seeing how Green defends Anthony Davis (which no Spur seems to be able to), I will give him my vote as well ...

Well this is all very reassuring, especially considering the validity of such an unbiased and reliable source.

Well, I sure hope you and your source are right. If not, the Spurs are going to be in a world of hurt.
Did your source indicate why Kawhi DIDN'T eye 'an all -time performance' in the first game?

You know, for the same reason the other Spurs players didn't it, for the same reason that Tony was 4-11, Danny couldn't hit 3's, Boris 2-12 0-5 's, Manu 3-10...
-
Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
Ya that really sound true to me, Kawhi bragging about what he is gonna do the next game...
-
Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
The fuck? Cornrow headed mother fucker better be pumped for tonight's game and better be eyeing a great performance like probably every other player in the playoffs :lol
He needs to figure out how to be patient with the double teams instead of panicking imo ain't gonna have any all-time performances if he keeps getting flustered and turning the ball over when he gets doubled
-
Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
Not all time performance... just what he was producing during the spurs' latest win streak.
-
Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
I was pretty drunk during the game so maybe I'm not remembering things correctly :lol...but honestly, it seemed like he dealt with the double teams fine. I only remember 1 or 2 TOs, and he didn't try to force things. The problem was that the spacing was off and we weren't finding the open guy. Every time they double Kawhi, there should be someone open if our spacing is good. Even if Kawhi doesn't have the angle to get it to the open guy, he should be able to get it to someone who can quickly swing the ball around to whoever is open.
I expect us to handle those situations better tonight.

The Spurs may be grasping at straws -- acknowledging that they can't win simply by playing their normal game better.
Thinking they need to some dramatic change to their normal game, some heroic individual effort.
I haven't been this pessimistic since Game 3 of the Miami series last year, or Game 5 of the OKC series, or Game 4 of the Dallas series . . . (And, yes, the irony is intentional.)
Losing a 1st round series to the Clippers after a championship season. Sure hope I'm wrong as usual.
Wake me when it's over. :depressed (I mean that literally since I'm in SA this week and the game starts at 9:30.)

Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
BSPN saying Pop will put KL on CP3. He'll be in foul trouble if that happens. Forcast: 73% chance of flop flop flop.

Re: Kawhi will have an All-time performance tomorrow.
Kawhi's about to put up a legendary LeBron Celtics Game 6 type of performance on our asses.... I can only hope Enrique's cancerous play and jealousy will be enough to offset it.

I'd love to see it but with if the Clippers have that same defensive energy, Spurs are going to have to win with ball movement and hitting shots. KL iso isn't going to get them much I suspect.

Kawhi will probably be used as a decoy based on that. The Clips are doubling him a little bit, he'll need to be hitting the open man quickly when that happens. I wouldn't expect any Spur to hold the ball more than a second tonight...quick moves, lots of passing, lots of open looks. The Spurs will need to show they can shoot the ball on the road. Maybe a career high in assists for Leonard?

He's not gonna do shit as long as he's on the floor with parker and diaw at the same time. I swear that parker just doesn't like passing him the ball. On a fast break last game, Kawhi was ahead of everyone and parker still drove it in. He passes to Diaw more than he does anyone on the team.

damn, I guess kawhi decided to save it for game 3...
I knew he had something to prove though. I wish I know what it is..there was a bigger reason than just playing great ball..I was told.
