Has Manu officially declared that this will be his final season?
really anybody thinking Manu is playing beyond Olympics'16 in Rio? don't see it..
^^ I agree with OP that this will probably be Manu's last year, but I don't see them doing anything for it considering he hasn't actually said it's his final year..
Arguably the biggest International basketball event in next door Brazil..just too perfect occasion to hang them up..That's why we need to get this dude a 5th ring next year :lol
What kind of Spurs fan wants Manu to start in 2015-16? LOL
That is definitely not the best move for the team
Starting is really a trivial thing with the Spurs anyways... Pop has had rotations with the first sub as early as 5 mins into a game...
It's not REALLY about STARTING, but being introduced at the beginning of the game. On opening night, maybe they can just introduce all the Spurs instead of just the starting lineup.
Why would there need to be an injury? I'm unsure if you actually read the post. I'm suggesting Pop start Manu as a ceremonial thing. Kind of nice about being the head coach, he can do whatever he wants. Asking Manu to start for the first preseason game would be an insult, which is the opposite of the intent.
Calm down, champ
What it should be:
McC
LDN
Kawhi
LMA
Timmy
Manu said he would ride it out with Duncan until the end. So despite manu declining, he is still better than what would likely replace him on the open market.
Manu's not going to start game 1 tbh. It will be business as usual.
I highly doubt Pop runs OP's proposed starting lineup, but that could very well be the 5-man unit that closes most games.
Uhhh this is frustrating...who cares...
