Even though he coached a bad series last season (specifically not benching Parker's ass), Pop is still easily the best in the game - and he seems like a truly great guy.
It's not often that you can say the coach was the second most important piece of a dynasty.

Man if you include all of what it takes to be a coach, Pop is #1 all time for me. Sure others have won more rings, but I don't think there is anyone that can teach the game, develop talent out of nothing, win rings, win consistently, manage minutes as well as Pop. He's not a one trick pony.
Add being part of the brain trust to that list. A lot of credit goes to Buford of course, but Pop puts the P in PATFO, and all decisions filter down through him.Quote:

Yeah there's a bit a truth to this but Jesus, 5 rings and all the wins, constant turnover, reinventing yourself over and over....the man does deserve a lot of credit for this....
