The offseason is long and boring, and I've seen more shit threads in the last couple weeks than I have in the past year, tbh.
This is a good way to kill some time. A few old Spurs playoff games were just uploaded to YT. Thought I'd post 'em in case anyone was interested. Post any games or clips you know of that I may have missed.
Memorial Day Miracle full game (w/ Russian commentary over the English, unfortunately)
These are SA stations that engage in Spurs talk. But so far this summer it's been a lot of Ohio State football and no Spurs talk when I've tuned in lately.

Any good times to listen to catch some Spurs talk, or is it pretty much gonna be dead 'til game action starts up?

Spurs-Heat is basically a yearly pre-season fixture...Are these games arranged between organizations or is the NBA in charge of the putting the schedule?

I don't know the degree of institutional league control...I'm guessing the CBA puts min / max on the number of games. But it otherwise appears that the teams have at least a significant degree of say in their scheduling. I don't know how long Miami-SA has been going; but a match-up like that is definitely more conducive to ticket sales and ratings than other match-ups.
Also, the fact that teams individually release their schedules at separate times alludes to their relative amount of autonomy on the matter.

Games 4-7 Clips/Spurs are on NBATV right now. Freaking Bonner getting 3rd Q minutes in Game 4. (That Splitter injury really cost us; no way we lose that series with a healthy Splitter).

Why still so many preseason games? This isn't the old nba where guys sit on there ass all summer....besides Diaw.
Hakeem's peak height was 6'10. He was always an undersized Center. That's partially what made him so quick, along w/his great athleticism. He made up for it with his massive wingspan and incredible timing. He's prob lost an inch or so too with age.
Dikembe was 7'2 peak and still looks every bit of it. He's huge. So he's got at least 4-5 inches on The Dream. Plus he's standing a couple feet behind behind Mutombo so the camera angle gives the perception that he's shorter in comparison than he really is.

Good explanation....but I wouldn't be surprised if Hakeem's coming in at 6'8" or less these days.

Passing the time rewatching game 5 clincher vs. Heat for the 1,000th time.
Anyone else get a chuckle at the 2:11 mark of the 3rd quarter when Boris falls on Kawhi, and Kawhi lets out a bloodcurdling scream? That's worth a laugh. Kawhi fat-shaming Diaw.

Re: Official Offseason "Pass The Time" Thread
Hopefully they are working on this for all team sites
I used to wait tables in the Quarry (1998-2000) and the Spurs used to come in all the time. I waited on a table of Perdue, Malik Rose, Kerr and Antonio Daniels and Perdue paid but I forgot to give him his credit card back.
A few hours later, the manager yells across the kitchen to me "Will Perdue is on the phone for you and he's pissed!"
Kind of a surreal moment though he was very gracious about it.

Re: Official Offseason "Pass The Time" Thread
This board has devolved into Spurs player bashing and endless comparisons. Can't we get back to bashing the opponents. Let's relive all the times we took a dump on Phoenix in the playoffs, or speculate on the coming season? Spurs fans are supposed to support the players. That's generally how it works. I'm just happy we have Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Leonard, Aldridge, West, Green, Diaw, Patty and I think that team will be good. I plan to see at least 3-4 games in person in New Orleans, Houston and hopefully getting to S.A. once to seem them there.

True but then the next 11 days 'til the opening of training camp are going to feel like a drag. I'm excited for the preseason just to see the new guys like Simmons, Ray, Jimmer and to a lesser extent KA play a ton of minutes.

Spurs have an open gym tomm in the practice facility, most of the players will be there... Will let you all know what I hear from my contact who will be there...This correlates with Verdes last post of back to the grind...

I don't know where to stick this or if it's been posted but here you go:
Want season tickets to watch the new-look Spurs play in the renovated AT&T Center this fall?
Get in line. Or rather, put your name on the list.
For the first time in club history, the Spurs will institute a waiting list for season tickets next week after selling out of their allotment of 13,200.

Mike Monroe @Monroe_SA#Spurs make it official: They will hold media day 9-28 and begin training camp on 9-29 at their practice site in San Antonio
I love me some Simmons :lol. Even that look on his face. Just seems like he will have that Tony Allen personality. Not the same players, but he reminds me of him in a lot of ways.
