I haven't heard a single mention of kawhi and LMA in NBAtv :lol
Can't wait to see how our offense evolves with a talent like LMA.
Haven't watched a ton of LMA over the past few years..... What are his defensive capabilities playing for someone like pop? Is he limited in help defense/1-on1?

Apparently Leonard, Curry, Green, and Thompson had a shoot out game. Thompson was first to go and then Curry in this clip. Found that Leonard went next and Green won.

I used to play soccer back in HS and a couple of the guys would stay hours after practice and just shot and pass. They just loved being around the field and playing...
I guess Kawhi has a similar love for the game...:lol

SG Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard, SF Jimmy Butler, SF Draymond Green, SF Paul George
Every team needs three-point shooting and impenetrable perimeter defense. All five of these players offer that, in varying degrees. Leonard feels like he should be a lock. Coach K can throw him on the other team's best player and virtually guarantee an emotional meltdown by the third quarter. Thompson's shooting is lethal for someone his size, and Green is the type of pugnacious competitor who's desired by every basketball team in the known universe.
Butler and George aren't brilliant spot-up shooters, but their two-way versatility makes them intriguing names to throw in the hat. (Considering what happened last summer, George's standing with Team USA is more fascinating than anyone's.) It's hard to see more than two making it from this group — ”which is a shame — but Team USA can't go wrong with whomever it chooses.
My way-too-early prediction on who makes it:
Guards: Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Kyrie Irving, James Harden
Wings: LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Klay Thompson
Bigs: Dwight Howard, DeMarcus Cousins, Blake Griffin, Anthony Davis
I'd rather a power forward who can shot like Aldridge/Love over Dwight Howard. Having him is redundant with Cousins and Davis on the team.
Kawhi looks like a mini LeBron, wonder what his current weight is. That said, LaMarcus standing next to him looks huge.

If everybody from the current poll is healthy I doubt that any of our heroes will make the team. I kind of hope that they dont.

I have always been less than enthusiastic to see a Spur playing international ball, and I was not excited that Kawhi got an invite to join Team USA camp. But this is rather interesting and poignant. I'm not too happy about Kawhi putting on the muscle.
It just ends up slowing players down. Every wing guy who ever put weight eventually has to slim down, and the extra weight is just more for his knees to carry. He wasn't so slight that he was being punished down low, he was fine. He was scoring with power fine also. This extra weight could affect his speed, but also his nimble feet and agility.
Alright, what I want to actually know, and I've been wondering this most of the off-season - Did Kawhi end up working with Tim Grover? I read that he wanted to work with him during the 2014 off-season, but for whatever reason it didn't happen. Anyone know if he did this off-season?

It's because the big guns: Lebron, Westbrook, Durant, Melo, Chris Paul and others aren't participating in the showcase so these are the subs. That's why some people on twitter were complaining about the "lackluster roster." I was surprised too. Last year almost everyone that went to mini-camp played in the camp but after that Paul George injury I guess some players are hesitant to join the scrimmage. So the ones who are playing tomorrow it will be like an audition for them since those big guns are pretty much locks to make the team.Quote:
