We've tried trickle-down and it has failed miserably every time. Perhaps we should give trickle-up a chance? With all these new $15/hour employees, they will now have to file federal income tax returns, which should give accountants a huge increase in customer base, higher demand, and higher wages.

There can be benefits from increasing the minimum wage, but there is something called a just binding and a strictly binding increase...The closer you get to strictly binding the more likely you are going to see the negative effects such as unemployment and inflation.

They turned over their railroads and airline to the private sector decades ago. They have private healthcare insurance companies and no federal-run healthcare (which is why they pay 2nd most in the world per-capita next to the US). They have equivalent or lower personal tax rates than the US. They're pretty damn capitalist.
