if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team USA?
I hear here that green is one of the best and most efficient guards in the league. Why would he not try out for team USA??
Wouldn't team USA use his D and amazing shooting???

Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
Team USA is loaded with wings..
He should have been there instead of Williams for sure.
-
Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
He is a very good guard, but he's not an all-star and he's not a top 20 NBA player. So no invite.
-
Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
Because Austin Rivers was next in line?

I heard he was asked but he declined and said he wanted to spend time working on his layups.

Because he's smart and won't waste time on the government propaganda games.

Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
A North Carolina player wouldn't make a roster ran by a Duke coach. Especially when the person who runs all of it said he'd give K:lolbe a roster spot if he wanted it!! Lmfao

Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
Would he make the team thou? Even with his inability to dribble a basketball???

Even if he could he still wouldn't need to dribble the ball with all those ball handlers.
-
Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
Danny wouldn't make it. 12 roster spots is tough even Cousins might get snubbed.
-
Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
11* spots, actually.
Snubbing Paul George after what happened would make Coach K's massive ego look bad.
-
Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
probably failed at the drill where they dribble around cones
-
Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
usa doesn't need efficiency, they are so much more athletic that they can get by on steals and layups
-
Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
They don't need a player who will consistently fuck up the pregame layup drills.

Bruce Bowen received an invite in 2006.

-
Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
Green already gave the Spurs a hometown discount, now he's supposed to play for free?
-
Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
I'd rather have Green than:
Anthony
Barnes
Beal
Butler
Williams-Carter
Cousins
DeRozan
Faried
George
Harden
Harris
Love
Plumlee
Wall
Westbrook

UNC games aren't why he didn't make it, it's because he's a role player competing with stars :lol
Faggot ass UNC about to get all the games he played in vacated anyways by the NCAA. Coach K continues to dominate world games and piss on UNC :wow

Green is better than Beal, who is one of the most over-rated players in the game today.
John Wall is a guy who needs the ball in his hands to be "effective." But that's often counter to ball movement. I don't think he's effective at high enough of a clip to pass on a shooter and defender.
Anthony & Cousins = Terrible defenders / cancers
George is not the same player and may never be the same player.
Harden is a terrible defender and ball hawk.
Westbrook is a ball hog and has low basketball IQ.
Love just doesn't consistently get it done on the block.

Awwwwww another virgin living in his mom's basement, cheering for dook, and consumed with an inferiority complex towards UNC. Boy are you going to be livid when UNC's men's basketball team forfeits nothing.
You live in Charlotte? Let me know if your scrawny pasty ass ever wants to come out of your mom's basement to run your mouth to me in person. I love humiliating virgin dookie fans in person. I love the way your voices crack when you get angry.

lmao, you sound like a typical uncheat fan redneck inbred faggot. the rest of the basketball world is laughing at your cornpone retard of a coach and looking forward to the hammer the NCAA is about to hit your faggy university with, tbh. I'll make sure to bump this thread when that happens.

Paul Pierce threw his cane to the side and stepped up for the Wiz as Beal hid in shadows. Dude is a a career 42 percent shooter. He's an average SG getting more minutes and thusly more ppg and hype then he deserves. And we're not even talking about the defensive comparison...

First off, Beal is not an 18 PPG scorer (ever).
Beal was 16.4 pp36 on .489 eFG last season.
Green was 14.1 pp36 on .566 eFG last season.
The difference is glaring; and we're not even getting to defense yet like I said.

Re: if Danny Green is one of the best guards in NBA, why didnt he try out for team US
There is one thing that Green is better than anyone in the league and it is a very underrated skills. His transitional one on one defense is something I have never seen before. His hands are just amazing. He saves so many guaranteed baskets with this skill.
