Re: At what point does LMA have to start taking the blame?
his softness around the rim is pretty pathetic..and has nothing to do about system assimilation..

I don't know, man. Ever since I heard that he was losing sleep over choosing a jersey number, I've been concerned that he made be too mentally weak
losing weight is step 1, tho, for sure

Re: At what point does LMA have to start taking the blame?
If any criticism is due to LMA, Pop needs to be involved in it.
Same for Danny drives.
These guys are executing whatever the scheme is that Pop wants.
We have a winning record, but yea, the soft schedule too.
At some point Pop is going to have to start making some adjustments to their games individually.

OP is one of the best new posters on ST, tbh..

Re: At what point does LMA have to start taking the blame?
OP is one of the worst new posters. Spurs are 18-5. Second best record in the NBA and easily second best team in the NBA despite wholesale additions and he wants to blame Aldridge. I friggin hate new age Spurs fans.

Re: At what point does LMA have to start taking the blame?
With the exception of two playoff games against a horrible defensive rockets team he has been a sub par go to player in big game situations. Not to mention has gotten his shit pushed in by zbo, Draymond green and Tiago everytime they have played.

What do you really want from him??
He gets good stats for limited mins.

I'd like him to dunk the ball instead of taking flip shots at the rim, IMO

Re: At what point does LMA have to start taking the blame?
LMA has been playing an stellar defense tbh. His new offensive style with the new team is still under construction.
-
Re: At what point does LMA have to start taking the blame?
watching the games, he doesn't understand the difference between "pass to get a better shot" and "pass just for the sake of passing". He needs to attack more. It's pathetic seeing him defer to old ass Tim and Manu.

Eventually he needs to be the player everyone was clamoring for in the offseason. He needs to average 20/10 be good defensively, be clutch but also be a team player. It is what it is, we have to get beyond the Warriors somehow and Duncan, Manu and Parker cant do it themselves. We need the young bloods to mature quickly.

Re: At what point does LMA have to start taking the blame?
I think the Warriors going undefeated has created an illogical and unreasonable Spurs fan.

Re: At what point does LMA have to start taking the blame?
For me, iŽll wait half a season and at least will need to see him fail in a couple of games where the Spurs play more for him.
As of now i donŽt see neither the team helping him nor going to him a lot.

agreed. though i have to admit he has been timid with his shot selection at times, i dont think thats a big concern... he never had issues taking a lot of shots with portland. he's just trying a bit too hard to fit in with the "good to great shot" model the spurs have
he's been a tougher player than i thought, he competes defensively and has been good on the boards, especially his o-rebounding (big source of his buckets).

First we should see Pop stop being a pussy and trying to coach him only after that we could blame la...
