Re: Spurs with the possession of the year, tbh
And about Kyle's shooting from the corners, according to this: http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/203937/stats/shooting/ (you have to scroll down a bit), he is 2-6 from the left corner and 2-3 from the right corner. A very small sample, but 44% is respectable.

Re: Spurs with the possession of the year, tbh
This particular play was highlighted in the NBA recap of the game video and the announcer for it was over-the-top in describing how great the Spurs' ball movement was, and actually said on the tape that "this is so much better than any dunk".
The guy was really funny!!
And then right after that he showed Kawhi going in for that monster dunk!
Great stuff.
We are very spoiled fans.

Does anybody have this with the Spurs commentators?

Re: Spurs with the possession of the year, tbh
Fucking ESPN doesn't have this play on its highlights. :lol

Re: Spurs with the possession of the year, tbh
Manu could have easily made the layup instead of passing to the corner. Lots of shots passed up.
And if you were playing defense, those 8 passes for a uncontested layup had to be demoralizing as hell. Not to mention wearing their young asses out.

I seriously doubt he'll ever be a good three point shooter or jumpshooter in general. He tends to shoot everything with 1 hand so anything that isn't on the run and/or close to the basket is going to be way off.
Then he wont be an effective player. This is the point. That was a great play except for the KA pass. He needs to shoot the ball or sit on the bench, period.

He's taken a grand total of 15 corner 3s in the NBA and he's made 7 of them. That's 47%.

Cojo had many positives, true dedication to defense and hustle being his best attribute, but he's a ball dominant guard and not terribly gifted passing (although he has improved) that is why he was always a weird fit with Manu. He's doing well in Toronto bc he supplies the defense and grit they need and they play an Iso heavy system where Cojo' s drives to the basket are a plus. POP wanted to keep Cojo though.

I always liked CoJo and acknowledge his contributions. He's much better than Ray McCallum. But generally speaking, this year's squad has more synergy without him.

Without Timmay and Kawhi we lose game 6 to OKC, luckily they are still in Spurs Unis and we can deal without Cojo. He did play well that game though.

This can only happen against shit teams. This did not happen against the Raptors or Rockets.
