Brian Windhorst mentions in an interview about LeBron that the Cavs are practicing a small ball lineup with LBJ at the 4, with the idea that it would work against the Warriors or Spurs.

If we did meet the Cavs in the Finals would we have trouble with such a lineup? That would mean they were benching Love probably and putting Tristan at the 5. This would force us to bench Duncan probably and play LMA at center, which would open up the lane for LBJ and Kyrie to drive. Ok, I get that. But surely we'd be able to counter this in a variety of ways. I wonder why Windhorst thinks the Cavs think it would be so effective against us?
I don't recall what they used when they got their big lead against us in the second game this year. But I remember Love playing a lot.
Thoughts?
Lamarcus can guard Lebron better than Lebron can guard Lamarcus IMO. If he's going to chuck threes over LMA let him, and let him try and guard Lamarcus in the post. Cleveland is a non-issue unless Kyrie or Love go God-mode, and it sounds like they think Love is going to be unplayable in the playoffs.
The Cavs are irrelevant since firing Blatt for Mark Jackson 2.0 tbh.

If it did give us trouble, the Cavs just gave Pop and the coaching staff months of time to game plan it by showing their cards this early. Pretty stupid of them, really.

What I especially liked is the evidence of how much more balanced LMA has become as a Spur, now likely to score from either side not just the left. The two shot chart/heat maps below show it clearly. Great read for the rest interested in LMA's development as a Spur.

Cavs were 30-11 with Blatt, 12-6 with Lue so far :lol wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make the finals
