Typical Spurstalk dribble without facts. Parker still led the team in assists tonight playing half the game. The "dribble dribble" stuff happens when no one else can get a shot. It actually worked tonight to get Parker a layup or two when we could hit a shot (down 14-4 early, etc.). And he doesn't brick too many apparently, as he has pretty much led the league the entire year for FG% (PGs, SGs, and SFs). It all sounds great because you guys just copy each other. Yes Parker has had a couple bad shooting nights in a row...after he led the team in scoring for 4 games in a row, averaging over 20 PPG on like 60+% shooting. So quit acting like he's having a bad year. When TP has a bad game, the entire narrative is that TP is a scrub who should be benched for almost any other player in the league. That is the nature of the fan base on this forum.
I agree with those on the forum who say that he needs to sit and get some rest. He only took three shots on basket in the two games preceding last night's. Last night he took 8 and only made 2. He did have 5 assists on a night when the team was shooting less than 20% for most of the first half. When this team is MOST successful is when TP is aggressive and effective, and he looks just too worn out to be either of those things right now.
