The Warriors may beat the Spurs on Saturday but......
They won't beat them in the playoffs. This Warriors team is firing on all cylinders but having to take other dynamics into play, it's not such a surprise. The Spurs, when they initiate their 'kill Warrior smallball' lineup they will torch the Warriors on the boards and points in the paint, while having the ability to disrupt just enough their three point attack.
No other team poses a threat to the Warriors as much as the Spurs do. You all as a fanbase need to stop being such fucking pussies.

If the Spurs lose a game at home this year,
I don't want it to be against a Warriors team
who also hasn't lost a game at home so far.
That's some slaps to the face, tbh.

Yep, twice..both without Curry, though..

Re: The Warriors may beat the Spurs on Saturday but......
Duncan and West were beasts on the offensive boards tonight (12 offensive to 22 Clippers' defensive, which is a great rate for a team that doesn't really crash the glass). The glass was wide open especially when Deandre went for shot blocks. Clippers are playing small ball without Blake, and Warriors will have similar lineups. They do have to be careful crashing glass with one guy with 3-4 guys retreating. This may mean less spotting up Green in the corner and more at top of key and wings as he's the best transition defender outside of Leonard.
The Spurs sagged off the Clippers' weaker shooters and guys like Jeff Green got theirs, while Crawford and Rivers couldn't hit anything. Warriors don't have that weakness so higher shooting percentage has to be offset by causing more turnovers as they're more turnover prone.

in years past, defense has always been key in the playoffs. I question, whether perimeter defense will be allowed this time or will it be a game of HORSE supported by moving screens?

If you guys can't beat the warriors in your own homecourt, on which you haven't been beaten since last year, then the warriors are the better team plain and simple.
I still think both teams are pretty even, it's going to be interesting who ends up being the winner.

Spurs are favorites. Worriers without their MVP Iggy, 2nd nights of back to back and have been "struggling"
Don't even need to look at Vegas tbqh

Yes, I have a pretty bad addiction to non-NBA gambling, tbh:lol..I use NBA gambling as a side job, though, been doing it seriously for the past 2-3 years once my bankroll was large enough to make substantial bets..I consider myself to be very good and I also get paid to write about NBA gambling, as well..
I'm not great at other sports gambling, but decent enough that I won't lose money..
Other forms of gambling are an issue, though, unfortunately..I blacklisted myself from all casinos in the region after losing something like 45k in a year and a half, a few years ago..

:wow tbh... you did well to blacklist yourself... you are so much into it that one can feel you were a bit addict but I would not have thought that much :lol
Stay safe bro tbh... I heard pretty bad stories about this kind of addiction even though I'd rather be a gambler than having problem with alcool or smoking or drugs for obvious reasons. I'm a smoker even though not an heavy one, that's my only serious addiction but that's a fucking shitty one tbh...

What's your take on our chances this season. I think we have the team to win it all, but injuries and an old team with inconsistent players is the concern.

Re: The Warriors may beat the Spurs on Saturday but......
The team plays much better at home for obvious reasons. Even though the refs were pretty bad against the Clippers, I expect us to have the advantage against GS in that department on Saturday. And that should be enough to put us over the edge, and win pretty comfortably tbh we already have advantages with GS on second night of a road b2b and Iggy/Ezeli out. If the refs let us get a away with a few things on defense or call a few moving screens on GS, I could see the momentum going in our favor early, and the game getting out of hand ala the seven steal game Kawhi had last year. It was at home for reference.

Re: The Warriors may beat the Spurs on Saturday but......
:lol Spurs fans remain some of the biggest pussies in sports fandom. I am a revered Spurs disliker, but I have to go out of my way to remind you all that basketball is all about matchups.
The only team that has the collective personnel to beat the Warriors is this Spurs team, sadly.
-
Re: The Warriors may beat the Spurs on Saturday but......
On NBA Tonight after the Clippers game, P.J. Carlesimo said multiple times that the Spurs need to have a better showing on Saturday considering they got "drilled" by the Dubs last time by 30pts. He said even though Pop doesn't care about the home record, he wants them to win.
-
Re: The Warriors may beat the Spurs on Saturday but......
I'll repeat it again. The only way the Warriors win is if the Spurs play possum again. The Spurs are loaded with personnel to control the pace of a game against the Warriors.
Steve Kerr and to a lesser point Luke Walton fucked up this season by trying to win every game. It is a very stupid thing to try and do. Come playoff time, I don't care how illogical it may seem to say this, but they will not have the energy to shoot the ball lights out like they have. The Warriors chance to beat the Spurs in the playoffs will come from the battle of the reserves.
-
Re: The Warriors may beat the Spurs on Saturday but......
We can't play the warriors like we play every other team in the league by packing the paint and givng up open 3's. They're gonna shoot 70% from the field if we do that, but somethign tells me tonight that popovich will do just that haha. I still believe he's not gonna show his full hand until the playoffs or he's just insane. It's one of the 2

I do not believe that any team is going to have a ref advantage over GS during any time this season. I think that GS is the 'golden marketing child' of the NBA and the Media, and I think that if refs were going to start calling them for moving screens, it would already have happened.
The financial success of the modern day NBA was built on the marketing of Michael Jordan. It has a bright shiny new inheritor of the MJ mantle in Curry. I don't think we are going to be able to guard him like we guard anyone else, and if we tried, we would likely succeed only in getting our guys in foul trouble.
Not that we can't beat GSW, but if we are to beat them, we are gonna have to do it while beating the refs at the same time, imo.

Re: The Warriors may beat the Spurs on Saturday but......
OKC beat SAS all four regular season games in 2013/2014. Didn't determine the last team standing in the west that year.
I hope GSW busts its collective ass trying to win 73, 74, 75 games.
-
Re: The Warriors may beat the Spurs on Saturday but......
I don't think GSW will win Saturday. Spurs will unless they brick all their open shots.
ESPN is already downplaying the matchup and making pre-emptive excuses for the Warriors because they know it's not @ Golden State this time and the Spurs aren't missing Tim Duncan like they were the first time, plus GSW has to play the Mavs tonight. Meanwhile last game knowing it was at Warriors and no Duncan they blew it way out of proportion since the outcome was likely going to be a GSW win. This time, Spurs should be favored for this one.

We are gonna be without Iggy and Festus and it will be the 2nd night of a back to back
Most of the Dubs dont take the Spurs seriously according to Ethan Strauss and other Dubs beat writers anyways so I expect a letdown
