The difference is the 25% GSW percentage from 3. That's an anomaly and isn't going to happen. If GSW shot at same percentage as Spurs... 38%, the would have won by 6 points.
I also wonder why Spurs did not keep Butler. He would have been useful in this switching defense. I cannot see how Bonner is of any use against the Dubs.
Since we're playing the anomaly game, if the Spurs had shot their normal percentage and had their normal number of turnovers they'd have won by over 20 points. Those two stats by the Spurs have far less to do with opponent defense than the Dubs' three point percentage, as nobody has defended the Warriors at the arc like that in the last two seasons.

I wouldn't read too much into this win. They were missing their Finals MVP and still played us close.

Kawhi need to do much better, it's feels like somthing holding him off and he become less confident, more insecure against those Warriors...
Re: Game Thread: Spurs vs Warriors -- Sat. (3/19) - 7:30PM CST (2:30AM Riga Time)
The turning point of the whole game was when Speights got called for that moving screen and Kerr got pissed. They are so used to getting away with those shits, that he got mad when they were called for it. That's when they knew they were in trouble when the refs didn't allow them to set illegal picks all night. Without illegal picks, GS aren't a great team, they are a good team.

I think it's strange that we didn't see more backdoor cuts from GS. They had great success with that in the first game exposing the lack of communication on defense. I guess that's Kerr holding something back for later.

Yes great win, as O_V said we shoot our normal % and have our normal TO's we win by much more. Still laughing at those saying 'only by 8.' That is plenty under any circumstance and probably what we should expect to see in the play-offs unless someone goes nuclear and someone raises the white flag.

He needs to be more decisive. Whether it's driving to his favorite spots, making a move before the double team, etc ... But he also needs to be involved early. The last 2 games he really hasn't been. Against Portland they were running the Parker-LMA two man game. Against GS it was LMA and Diaw in the post abusing the smaller guy. Smart options of course but Leonard is wasted standing on the 3 point line or used strictly as a screener. Run a play for him, get him moving without the ball a little. Some of that is on Leonard himself and some is on Pop.
Last night I think he let the refs get in his head a little too. Something he's avoided most the season.

I think people here have Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to the Warriors especially after that 30 point loss. It's like they have been conditioned to expect the spurs have no chance against this team. Warriors have definitely have had somewhere around 7-10 escape wins this year. They should have lost to OKC, and lucked out in the 3 games they played the Clippers. So fuck this bs about how the Spurs were lucky to win.
