Dubs have bigger players and they move the ball around better. Spurs just don't have that beautiful game that they had in 2014. Also, they play too conservative relative to Dubs. Dubs are taking shots from 4 feet from the 3 point line, Spurs however don't take a lot and only take then when they are at the line and open. Can't win that way.

Spurs can't have the only athletic guy on the court be Leonard. Where the hell is Simmons?

They are, but you really put them in the unbeatable category? I think the results are really swaying people. They are winning a lot more games statistically than they should win. Doesn't mean they aren't great; they are. But I have seen enough holes covered up by some crazy Curry play.

Spurs, if you look at the box score, did a lot of good things. They just haven't hit shots. I refuse to believe that if they get the same looks that the won't fall. Even if they don't, that doesn't change the fact GS will give you good looks and that SA has had success defending them.

Spurs got more good looks than GS, but that's why GS is so good - they have better scorers and margin for error is big with them.

I don't think any of this year's teams can beat them in a series, especially without HCA..

Spurs are still their best challenge, but this team just has so many egregious flaws in his matchup:

1- Unreliable shooting
2- Lack of versatility and flexibility in lineups
3- Warriors have the best player on the floor

The first 2 are larger concerns, though..

If Green isn't making shots, Pop needs to take him out, which kills the defense, since Duncan won't be able to stay on the floor, as well..all the perimeter alternatives are poor defenders(or hit or miss in Manu's case)..when you take Duncan out, the alternative is West or Diaw, which eliminates the shot blocking and rim protection, especially if Green is also off the floor..

There's a large gap between the defensive capabilities and offensive capabilities of the Spurs starters vs. their bench..

The Warriors can run versatile lineups without any liabilities at either end, all game..if they want more offense, they can take Bogut out, and while their defense will get worse, it's not a dramatic loss..they can still put 5 guys on the floor that are above average or better on both ends of the floor, or at the very least, not liabilities(unlike the Spurs)..

Sure, but I don't like acting like GS didn't suffer. It did. They gave up plenty of good looks while the Spurs contested most of theirs. They hit more shots, but that doesn't change the fact that even with everything you listed Spurs did a lot of good things.

The only issue I see as major is the shooting and that's more on SA than GS at the moment. GS has a very solid defense and an amazing offense but SA still could be right there and if they have a really good shooting night, it's over.

Even with all the advantages and a horrific shooting night(s), SA in the mix.

I've been saying all season, that we need more length athletic guys to match up. Dubs are posting Parker and Mills at every opportunity.

Spurs just don't have the offense punch to catch up when they are behind. With the exception of the game against Cleveland, I don't recall the Spurs ever catching up when they were behind big. They just don't have the fire-power.

Probably the biggest concern was Patty, Danny and even Kawhi shooting poorly against them last game. Kmart was supposed to help. Nothing will help if we are not making shots. That's not even on them.

Don't forget the '04 Lakers who had Shaq/Kobe, and then got joined by Gary Payton and Karl Malone - different, but similar to what's happened in GS this year. That Laker team was stacked. They came this close to getting knocked out by the Spurs in the second round. The T-Wolves challenged them in the WCF, and absolutely could have beaten them if Latrell Sprewell wasn't such a ball-hogging, selfish player. The point is, even thought they were hugely stacked, they didn't blow out their opponents on the way. Then they got their asses kicked 4-1 by Detroit in the Finals.

Portland bragged one year that they had two starting 5's - ten players who absolutely would have been starting on other teams. The analysts said the same thing... and it was true. But they stepped all over each other, and bombed out of the playoffs. It may be a cliché, but chemistry is still a factor. And injuries can ruin any team's season. The Warriors look unstoppable on paper, and there's no doubt they have a lot of talent. But they still have to play the games.

Imagine what it will be like if they fail to win it all, again. Lot of pressure on this team and a lack of role players make it interesting to see what happens.
Oh and there's the whole Draymond Green wild card. There's plenty that could go wrong with the Warriors.

There is a ton that could go wrong, but if it happens to gel and go right I don't see anyone stopping them. I hope they get de railed as a Spurs fan, time will tell.

Just going on record by saying I don't see the Warriors winning it all in 2017. Blowing a 3-1 lead really says a lot of about how mentally weak those guys are including Durant. They have too many choke artists on their team to pull it off.

I think we can match up with them, its going to be pretty funny watching how hard every team is going to be going at the Warriors all season. Spurs will fly under the radar again.

With their deep roster gutted, the Warriors are NO LONGER terrifying, imo.....
