That's the hope! Make the Dubs play as many games as possible. :toast
They are only down 2 at the half tonight. I don't think they could take the series, but stranger things have happened. Actually, my dream is for the Dubs to beat the Bulls' record and the Spurs to whack them on the way to seis!

Considering they blew the other two games they had against the Dubs, I'd say they can take them in 7 with a healthy Griffin.

It's possible. Much depends on how smoothly they are able to re-integrate Blake.

When West was benched earlier was it because Whiteside was getting a lot of boards? I saw Pop talking to him, but couldn't get a feel for what was going on. He didn't comE back until very late in the game.

I think he couldn't handle Whiteside. Pop was going with TD/Boris lineups and even TD/Anderson for a little bit.

The 1st rd series against the Grizz is basically going to be a scrimmage for the Cripples. It's similar to how the Rockets had to re-integrate Dwight late last season after they won 55 w/ him missing half the season & the Mavs series was a scrimmage for the Rockets.
Blake also missed 6 weeks last season & came back mid-march. Result: he was the best player in the first 10 games of the postseason.

Thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten that Blake missed that much time last season. BUT, he was the best player in the playoffs because he had Tim Duncan coaching him for the first seven games. Doubt that Draymond will demonstrate similar altruism! Even if he did, I don't think there is much comparison between Coach Duncan and coach green. :lol
I don't remember how the Clips played without Blake last season. But they have been on a roll this season without him. Bringing him back this time may not go quite as smoothly. We shall see.

They were playing exactly how they have been playing this season & folks were also running w/ the narrative that they are "better without Blake".:lol

Maybe the narrative is true - at least true enough to move him this summer for good value.
Re: Game Thread: Spurs vs Heat -- Wed. (3/23) - 7:30PM CST (2:30AM Riga Time)
I think they did consider offers for him, but apparently they wanted to completely gut the Denver Nuggets getting Jokic and anyone else of interest from there, and Denver said hell no!
:lol
I think for RS they were fine enough with the unstopabble assault of PnR between DJ, and CP3, and Reddick, but playoffs is another matter and they do need Griffin bc no one else besides CP3 can get their own shot in that SL, and they struggled against elite teams.
But what the heck do I know, that is the narrative at least. For sure not a team I follow, but I do want Griffin healthy to battle Raymond.. should be fun to watch too from a fan perspective.
