If the tissue isn't fully healed then it won't be able to handle a less forceful impact than the original. The reason his quad is STILL tight is b/c the tissue isn't done repairing the damage.

So he was pretty good last night that they were thinking about flying him in today for the game. Now he's just not ready. In Pops words it wasn't an injury nor was it serious but of course Leonard will be out a week +. Only on the Spurs.
