How feasible is 41-0 at home?
Four games left at home; and NOL is potentially the only cream puff. OKC has that chip but they might be resting players. Obviously, GSW has their motivations. And Toronto is playing for a one seed in the east.
March 30 NOL
April 2 Toronto
April 10 GSW
April 12 OKC
EDIT: Edits performed.

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
As important as Jimmer is to the Spurs.

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
I forgot about Toronto. I thought the season series split already. Well that's no good, they're kinda scary.

The last home game is actually Apr 12 vs OKC. Apr 13 vs DAL is on the road.

Okay, that's actually possibly better.

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
Well, lets see... they went 37-0 to "start" the season. How feasible was that?
So, yeah, going 4-0 to close is probably next to impossible. If only they had kept Jimmer.

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
Who gives a shit?
We are probably resting tons of guys for at least 2 of those games. Probably vs OKC and Worriers. Nothing to prove there.
Well probably go for the win over NOLA and call it a season.
-
Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
Sorry my bad. I mean well rest for Toronto, worriers.
Okc being last game of season vs a decent team will be good playoff pra tice

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
Unless Pop rests Kawhi, Lamarcus, Duncan, Tony, and Manu all at once, 41-0 is easily reachable.
-
Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
It's not feasible at all if we have to play individuals who would be better in the post season with a rest in a regular season home game.

So we can beat worriers without Kwhi and LMAlph?
:rolleyes

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
Would love it to happen, but the Spurs are going for more important things... :lobt2:

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
I know the Spurs aren't one of those record-mentality type teams, but 41-0 might never be done. Someone wins a chip every year and the Spurs have already won 5. I would still rather get 6 if it was mutually exclusive with that record, but I don't see it that way, especially since we're so close. I say rest guys the road games, play guys the home games and go for it. Hopefully that's what Pop's doing. We'll see.

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
Pop's starting to get cute with lineups. If someone doesn't get injured playing extra minutes to fill in for all the sit-outs, it's going to wreck their rhythm going into the playoffs. 41-0 cannot be feased.

Manu said 41-0 isn't important to them; but I don't much believe it, tbh.

Feasible? Very. Meaningful? None.

Pop is the coach version of Chris Paul; brilliant at the game but gets too cute with his moves and it eventually costs the team, and like Chris nothing ever gets said about it. Only Pop has 5 rings.

Yea, an accomplishment that has never been done before is meaningless. :spin
The lies that ST'ers will believe...

Aso long as they don't screw up and sign jimmer it should be a lock

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
538 has 41-0 at 45%
93% New Orleans
86% Toronto
69% Golden State
82% Oklahoma City

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
The Charlotte loss ended any notion that the Spurs would keep gunning for the 1 seed. The OKC game tonight is being thrown for rest, and Pop will only continue to rest key players down the stretch. With GS openly admitting they want 73, and Pop letting off the gas, I think they'll go 40-1 at best.
-
Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
:lol it's that Jimmer guy
-
Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
Pop will do everything he can to toss this game tonight. He does not like anything to distract in the playoffs including an undefeated home court season.

Good find. I have to admit that'd be a tough gauntlet even if we were playing all our players. I wonder if they factored that in?
-
Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
I'm hoping we win vs. GS so we can watch SaltyKC play Durant and Westbrook when they should be resting :lmao

Anyways, I brought this up in another topic, but that last home game vs. OKC might not be as difficult as you'd expect. That's OKC's last game of the season, and they'll be on the 2nd night of a b2b. Considering they'll already have the 3 seed locked up at that point, there's a good chance they won't be playing everyone.
It's going to come down to the Golden State game. Unfortunately I think Iguodala will be back by then, and GS will be gunning for a record of their own...so it's going to be a really tough game even if Pop does decide to play everyone. I just hope he actually gives them a shot as opposed to sitting a bunch of guys and basically throwing the game away.

Pop didn't phone in the Toronto game.

Kyle Anderson gave an interview in Sirius XM stating the same.

In an interview with Sirius XM NBA Radio, Kyle Anderson flat out said the team isn't worried about going undefeated or not.We don't talk about it or talk about the streak or the record or anything like that. We just want to be playing the type of basketball we're playing when it comes close to playoff time. We don't talk about it or think about it.
It's not something we're reaching for.

Patty Mills saying the same thing on Espn San Antonio. Wish I could post it but I don't know how to link it. I found it in soundcloud. They probably talk more to the media about it than among themselves.

He said they want to win every game. A record doesn't make it more important than it should already be.

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
They sure did play that Raptors game 'til the very end. Pop could had rested people and just take the L if it came down to it. It'll be interesting to see what happens if they lose @ Warriors. Whether or not they were actually playing for home court or actually want that record. If it's the former, he might shut down some people during the home stand against the Ws and Thunder. Or their priorities might change and just go for the record if enough of the players want it. Who knows. That's why he's CIA Pop.

Re: How feasible is 41-0 at home?
I could care less about 41-0
