Pop playing Duncan 40+ minutes in the prime of his career isn't quite the same as 2016. Kawhi doesn't need to play 40+ minutes a game. The 2016 Spurs cast is infinitely better than the team Duncan had to carry on his back in 1999, and even 2003.

Seriously, get over being a player fan. I am 100% confident that Duncan knows his best interest is at the forefront of Pop's decisions. Duncan would have retired 5 years ago if he had played close to 40+ MPG throughout the later stages of his career.
