Hey we got a title that way in 2007! No way we win that year if GS doesn't do us a solid against the Mavs. If someone does manage to take out the Dubs the path is pretty much clear for us.

I don't buy that at all. That Mavs team was showing cracks by the end of the season and Duncan was a lot healthier in 07 than 06.

That said, our perimeter scoring was pathetic tonight in all forms. Absolutely ice old and unreliable. The only guy shitting on them was our injured big.
LMA had a really good game. However, the problem is --- that GSW has this short, skinny guy who just keeps running around the 3 point arc -----

I'll say this, The Clipps will not go down without calling out all the bs the Warriors get away with. Doc with make sure the media hears about, and Paul will make the the refs hear about and see it on the court. They don't have the gentelmens approach Pop and the Spurs have.
Doesn't mean they'll win, but it's gonna be an interesting series.

Hadn't thought about this. Clippers have made a strategy out of whining, flopping and manipulating refs.
I might actually watch that series and see if chaos is created :lol
Re: its meltdown time fellas
A clippers spurs wcf would be more compelling than warriors anyone. It would be the same grudge match and end up with a better finals.
Warriors are just to likely to blow out everyone. Here's to Adam Silver looking out for the league

And the NBA will fine Doc and won't do nothing regarding his complaints. Don't you saw yesterdays refs' L2MR?

Re: its meltdown time fellas
I've gone from wanting the Spurs to face the Warriors at full strength to now wanting a career ending injury to Curry in the first round.
Re: its meltdown time fellas
Do ya'll think that if Tony and Curry ran into each other at full speed, they might switch skill sets and personas? Like in Freaky Friday?

Why the hell would you want to play anybody at full strength, let alone the Warriors, tbh?:lol
Nothing better in sports fandom than celebrating a key injury..I'll show love to Patrick Beverley forever for 2013..

Because ideally, you'd like to win a championship having to beat the best teams with their best players. If Curry was out, it would be about as big an asterisk as you could have. But now, I'm OK with it.
Earlier in the season, I liked the Spurs chances. After watching GSW for the remainder and the games against the Spurs and the rest of the Spurs season...not so much.
I haven't given up on the Spurs. But they're a big underdog and are going to have to play some almost perfect basketball to beat GSW in 4 out of 7.

I thought the problem was lack of playmaking out of the post due to no Duncan or Diaw (underrated aspect of SA's power), and ice cold perimeter scoring (possibly influenced by lack of aforementioned post playmaking). LMA got his, yes, but Duncan and Diaw do a lot of stuff that isn't always reflected in the stat sheet that helps us take home wins. LMA is just okay when it comes to helping facilitate for others imo.
Re: its meltdown time fellas
Has anyone considered the scenario in which any of Warriors/Spurs that gets to the finals gets there all injured and worn down, so that when Lebron finishes his annual parade through the east he faces a weakened team, wins, and poses for a lot of pictures bragging about his greatness?

The road to the Finals never plays a part in the ultimate result, tbh..
