My family was too broke to buy a Nintendo when I was a kid, but one day I found a Sega Genesis in a neighbor's, down the road, trash bag that was open.
I pulled it out and it looked fine, but the power cord was ripped out. I took it to my dad who stripped the wires and hooked up a different cord and got my friend to give me Altered Beast since it came with his Genesis and he played the hell out of it.
I freaking loved Altered Beast.
Oh, those halcyon days... Now I'm rocking an Asus ROG rig. Doing a little better nowadays. already

I had a Genesis too, won it in a raffle at the school. It was the updated, smaller, cheaper version of the original. I liked the SNES more but for games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter it rocked. Specially for MK because the game had blood. The SNES MK was trash, fighters didn't bleed red, more like a translucent fluid. Nintendo's policy at the time didn't allow blood in their games.

Right on. What's funny is now my wife and I are more into board games than video games. Maybe we're getting old...
But we play involved, nerdy ass board games like Eldritch Horror that takes 2 hours to set up lol.
Eh... makes a night of it when the Spurs aren't playing.
Wait... what was this thread about again? Pop going to the Lakers?
I couldn't see him doing it for any amount of money. There- I'm thread relevant.
