Predictably the Thunder will hit a 3. So I'm waiting for the choke, but Tony did his job tonight.
-
Re: Tony Parker..
Employing his pace and high field goal percentage to great effect, Parker has been named to six NBA All-Star games, three All-NBA Second Teams, and an All-NBA Third Team. He was also the 2007 NBA Finals MVP.

Agree with OP... If it wasn't for Parker, Spurs would have lost by 10
-
Re: Tony Parker..
Parker needs to play like this every game for the rest of the playoffs. Needs to complete his Kidd 2.0 transformation.

he played a great second half tbh

Re: Tony Parker..
TP stepped up. In the words of Mark Henry, he's got a lot left in the tank!
-
Re: Tony Parker..
We need him. He's been doing exactly what Pop wanted. Looking to set others up and opportunistic for himself. We definitely needed the help bc LMA wasn't going to stay that hot the entire series, 70% was just ridiculous. Him hitting 3s was huge and the clutch FT, he came up with a loose ball/long rebound late in the game too. I loved his effort tonight. Stayed within the team offense too.
-
Re: Tony Parker..
Merci beaucoup Toney, merci!!!
-
Re: Tony Parker..
Is he gonna follow it up with 5 consecutive duds tho? :lol
-
Re: Tony Parker..
Parker was awesome tonight, we lose without him. We sooo need a third option.
I'm glad he brought it tonight, tho he's been very inconsistent. If he can bring it more than 1 game in 5, we can have a chance against anyone. Including GS.
Here's hoping...lol

I bet you are playing that cd right now. Be honest, is it shaq awful or what?

Re: Tony Parker..
If they can get two games like this out of Tony in any series, the Spurs ring. Perfect balance in all facets of the game.

I'm not a player fan. I once Parker, Ginobili, Kawhi, et al. That being said:MVParker

Re: Tony Parker..
They gave Tony shots and he put them down. A bit more penetration would help IMO. KL was slipping and blowing tires on drives, Tony has got to help a bit more. But he really did come up big when they dared him to shoot, So props.

They were ignoring him like we do Roberson and TP made them pay.
-
Re: Tony Parker..
TP is extremely limited in defense but can win you a game... i hate that hehe
-
Tony Parker did what KL gets paid to do
In typical NBA 12 year-old fan fashion, headlines point to KL and his 31 points. Totally neglecting the fact that when big shots were needed, it was Tony Parker who came through at crucial times scoring a bucket, not KL.
When the spurs needed to sustain the lead KL dribbled for 20 seconds at the top of the key and then tossed it to the perimeter or the wing to a covered Spur to take the shot.
KL threw the offense into a bunch of watchers, and if he does that next round, if the Spurs have that piece where THEY CANT SCORE or MOVE THE BALL, then they will get blown out by the Warriors.
Tony came through on his crappy contract last night. KL still does not understand how to control an offense. KL needs more nasty.
Thanks Tony

This, though Tony helps. Secondary scoring is always important.

KL 31 points and "that HUGE rebound" without TP would have resulted in a L.
Conversely, giving LMA KL's shot attempts would have been fine.
