I know you want to keep positive and I am not being negative by pointing out that these stats don't mean much bc:
1. Timmy's decline makes us a different team.
2. The team that is playing right now is not exactly the same that got those wins. Several of those games would not have been won without contributions from Anderson, Simmons, Boban and even Rasual. Not sure Kmart was better for us than Rasual TBH. Rasual came up and helped through the season. Kmart was accommodated and given more chances than Rasual was since seeding didn't matter and we came up with unexpected losses. Rasual>Kmart.
3. This is just my take and I will get heat but whatever, I get heat anyways. It felt like we were two teams through the season. The veteran team, that was spared by blowouts early in the season. The younger team that stepped up when the veterans got injured. They were just good enough to keep winning, but no blowouts. Sure the veterans are better but the ceiling on the team would have been much lower if we had to rely on them more, and didn't have these younger guys helping through the season.
If you take those guys from the RS we don't have this record TBH. Basically what this means is that the guys who are actually playing without those 3 are not a 67 win team. The identity of this team is different. I an not calling for more minutes for these 3, but I am not going to pretend they were superfluous and insignificant in the overall team record. That's why the point differential guys never really got me convinced either.
Re: History is on Our Side
Nice stat. I wish it was that simple. If the Spurs lose game 5 to a sorry ass team like OKC, they don't deserve to compete for a title and were never good enough. It would be 2 home losses in a row too.
A quick dose of energy and sense of urgency is in order. My hope is that the Spurs win Game 5, Tim plays well and the Spurs go back to OKC with 'closing out' in 6 on the brain.

Which woukd make the loss historical too...

Hopefully just paranoia when it comes to Kawhi but after Kanter flopped his way crash-bang into Kawhi's knee, he did not make a single shot after that.

It could have been a bad injury but he was fine. Running without a limp after. I think Kawhi was gassed.

^ this, tbh
If we win Game 5, and I expect we will, we close it out in Game 6.
If we lose Game 5, then it's going to be OKC in 6, and we would've never gotten past the Dubs, anyway.
It's all about Game 5.

Adams ate Duncan for lunch on both ends.
Re: History is on Our Side
We learn from history that we learn nothing from history.
Re: History is on Our Side
Spurs about to make history one way or another. Just covering all their bases tbh. Smart fucks.

There's always a first time for something. Of course it'd be us.
