I'm actually confident in Parker... and by Default, TD & Manu
I'm concerned over minute management...
People will be surprised by Barry's good play. (Hopefully he can play enough minutes to show he and not Fin is the better swing back up)

confident in: TD, MG, Bruce and TP
concerned over: Nazr
think will surprise everyone: Brett Barry
I think people are unfair with Tony, just because he has so much potential. He has shown last season that he is mature enough to get over himself and do what the team needs in a particular game. He is not forcing thing and is plying smart basketball, even when that means carrying the ball up the court and giving it up to players that are having more impact on the game.
We have an outstanding PG on Tony Parker that will last for long time, and he will reach the expected All-Star status. It is just a matter of time.
confident in: Tim
concerned over: Tim (he has to stay healthy this year)
think will surprise everyone: Fabricio Oberto (this guy may be better than advertised, so people better watch out)
confident in: Tim / Manu
concerned over: Tony
think will surprise everyone: Fabricio Oberto (starting in the playoffs)

Everyone is confident in TD, and SHOULD be confident in Manu.
The concerns that make sense:
Parker (at times) seemed to have regressed this summer, had an up and down playoffs, and not taking time off means increased chance for injuries and/or wearing down.
Bowen: will he lose a step? If he loses 2, he could become another Doug Christie.
Hi there. Newbie here. :spin
Confident: Timmy, Manu, and Bruce
Concerned: Nazr and the minutes/starting slot for the #5
Surprise: Tony

Here is the thing about "surprise"...
For tony to surprise me, he would have to do something like 20 and 8. Anything less would not "surprise" me, because he did pretty well last year.
I doubt his stats go up with such a good supporting cast; his minutes are headed down most likely, along with his attempts per game.
Maybe I would be surprised to see him making midrange jump shots like he was supposed to work on with his shot coach. If that comes to fruition, I would go along with that as a surprise, even though everyone here knew about it during the summer.
Interesting that most people are concerned or think TP will surprise, but very few are confident.
I'm concerned too and hope he surprises. Problem is a healthy Van Exel can put a world of pressure on Tony.
Confident: 70 wins.
Concerned: Tony's free throw shooting
Surpise: Finley going for 15 a night off the bench
or the contrary. Knowing someone is going to have your back you play more freely and give 120% on the field. because when you get out or if you miss NVE is here to back you up.Quote:

As long as you don't try to be Rasho's chick, we'll get along just fine.

Confident: Duncan
Concerned: Parker
Surprise everyone: Manu
Thanks very much DesiSpur_21 and angel_luv! I've been reading the boards since the season began but just never joined. I've also been reading the boards long enough to know that Rasho is off limits. So don't worry Angel_luv-my paws will be kept off of him. :spin
