GP II just signed a 3-year contract with Houston
Yea Payton's a Rocket. No thanks to the others listed.
That sucks about payton
Ibeh
Was hoping cousins would be available, Ibeh would be good for summer league and Austin
Ibeh for sure.
Still pissed Houston got Payton and Kings drafted Cousins.
Ron Baker just signed with the Knicks. A 1-year deal.
Wait. Anthony Barber wasn't drafted? Did he sign somewhere?
Carter signed with GS
Rockets with the real steal of the (un)draft with Payton.
They didn't have a draft pick, so they probably had a deal ready for him if he didn't get drafted long before anyone else. There's a reason he fell though, he doesn't really have much of an offensive game at all. Has gotten by on athleticism and defense, but hard to say whether he can carry that to NBA where everyone is bigger faster and stronger.
Another interesting pick up would be Dorian Finney-Smith out of florida. a 6'8" SF that has a good shooting stroke
Alex Poythress of Kentucky. He has a legit carrying tool as a plus defender who can guard multiple positions, and a developing jumper to make him a true 3-and-D candidate. He's now a full season removed from his ACL tear and moving like his old self again. Without that injury he would have gone in the first round last year.
Wouldn't be surprised to see the Spurs give his teammate a workout. Fred VanVleet. Any Wichita State fans out there? Teach Boban to run the PnR over the summer, and you've got some cannon fodder for the bench.
Danuel House was really athletic and high-energy with A&M - also dumb as hell and a fucking black hole. I was surprised people here weren't talking about him more, because of his athleticism. He's going to sign with Washington. Perfect place.
We signed Arcidiacono
Who?
Need to start a new thread for this guy.
PG of a top 5 team for last 2 years. Long shot NBA player
dude reminds me of delevedova, who i wanted as an udfa
Jonathan Feigen Jonathan_Feigen
In addition to Gary Payton II, Rockets have deals with Gonzaga F Kyle Wiltjer and Texas g Isaiah Taylor. All 3-yr deals, with team options.
Actually Archie smart like King Delly.
My father is a Villanova grad so I've seen a LOT of Ryan Arcidiacono over the past 4 years, and all I can say is that you all are going to absolutely love him. He may never play a single regular season game for the Spurs, but you're gonna love him. He's right out of central casting for the type of person the Spurs want, was a team captain all 4 years, and Jay Wright called him the heart and soul of Nova's national champion squad and his favorite player that he's ever coached. He was the Final Four MOP, and made everyone around him better, which is how they won it all despite not having a guaranteed future NBA player on their roster, never mind any superstars.
Thomas Walkup
Oh no it isn't. Unfortunately, Arcidiacono will be a liability on defense against most NBA PG's. He lacks lateral quickness, is very short-armed, and can't elevate, so he'll never be a factor on the perimeter defensively. To wit, he blocked a total of 4 shots in 4 years at VU. He compensates with max effort, tenacity, intelligence and being an excellent communicator. Even so, quicker and longer opponents will always give him huge problems defensively, and he'll need to be protected on that end of the floor. He's a middle class man's Steve Blake in almost every way.
Yogi Ferrel, Wayne Selden, Thomas Walkup, Perry Ellis.
Wayne Seldon? Perry Ellis?
I want us to sign Zach August, great motor big that do the little things and could help...
Any word on Prince Ibeh?

Angel Rodriguez the PG from Univ. of Miami (and Kansas St.) will join the Spurs SL team.
Rodriguez is a feisty SOB but he's 5'11"
Also, one of my tournament favorites, SFA's Thomas Walkup will be on the Warriors' SL squad.
Nathan Boothe is going to Miami Heat summer league. Was hoping Spurs would take a flyer on him
