If for some miracle he signs this year, we automatically trade Green, Diaw and Anderson to Philly for picks or Nerelens Noel. That would clear $16 mil with Noel or $20 mil with picks, then sign players like Bertan, Lorbeck,
Forbes , etc to fill the roster.
I'm not saying that he has to be a rotation player but having him as the 3rd center allows him to get some NBA minutes when he's not in the D-League and gives the Spurs a cheap big with upside to put on the books for the next four seasons for less than $ 5 million while he develops as opposed to waiting for him to possibly improve when playing overseas which is hit or miss.Quote:
