Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
I think if we could get those guys, we could call it a very decent off season... Kinda young but still experienced.. what do you guys think. With Willie Reed too.

waiters? good luck, you will be killed here

Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
I refused to allow any warrior with us . The Most cocky Team Ever. Although to be honest, barnes is the least cocky. Still, they can stay with mouthpiece and mouth open guy.

Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
Yes Matt Barnes! I'm talking about cheap guys since it seems thats the route the Spurs wanna go if its not KD. Talk about Waiters all you want, but he could definitely be our new 6th man easily.

perfect backup for Kawhi imo

Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
Waiters is garbage fuck that bust
-
Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
Spurs don't have the money for this - especially Gasol & Waiters.

1) I'd rather have Manu at 39 than Waiters
2) Waiters isn't going to be cheap. It was already reported that Waiters received an offer of around $15 million per year from Sacramento. At the absolute cheapest, he'd probably come at around $10 million per year.
There's no way we'd get Gasol AND Waiters unless we moved multiple rotation players.

Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
If we don't get Durant just get Gasol and call it a offseason. :toast:lobt2:

When he is not trying to hunt down Derek Fisher.
Pass. Fruitbat with nasty is not a Spurs combination.
-
Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
Gasol has already agreed to/or has signed with the Warriors. I was all up for signing him but hopefully we move on and get younger, probably for the best.
-
Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
Why do people want Matt Barnes? He's a 3 and D and he can't really shoot and his is probably average to slightly above at D.
I'll take Anderson over him 10 times out of 10.
No to Waiters too. Mills-Manu-Anderson-Diaw-Boban is fine as a bench unit with potential to get better as the season wears on. Bobans size and skill forces defenders to respect him when he dives to the rim . If Diaw remember how shoot from midrange and Anderson learns how to knock down corner 3's it could be a deadly combination

He's been a net negative player over the course of the past three seasons and has only shot 34% from 3 despite 55% of his shots ( since 13-14) come from 3,
His P.E.R is also way below average since 12-13, when it was only slight above average.
His playoff numbers over the past three years have been way worse his net rtg is -16, he is shooting below 30% on 3's and has a P.E.R. below 10 over that time.
Kyle Anderson is probably already better than him and has yet to consistent knockdown 3's, with Bertans and LJC coming over it doesn't make sense to waste a roster spot on him

Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
lol thinking waiters is gonna be “cheap”
-
Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
would rather have Matt than anyone - he brings what that pussy west can't. attitude. Spurs need a mean player. Waiters sucks. Gasol only if it meant for sure get rid of west.
Mark my words D west will F the Spurs in the upcoming playoffs. His shit is eerily similar to McDyess. Pop will play him, boban will spell him for 2 minutes have 20 puts and 50 rebounds, then pop will go right back to west because boban is ineffective. release west now

Re: Barns, Waiters, an Gasol!
A bench consisting of Boban, Diaw, M. Barnes, Simmons, Mills :wow

Matt Barnes was on my fantasy team. When all of his teammates went down he was taking it upon himself to increase his scoring load and production even if that's not his game. He has grit and will play as hard as he can. And he brings a "nasty" that we need on this team.

I've always like barnes, would not mind one bit to have his attitude here

Yet his net Rtg was -8 for the Grizzlies and -34 why shooting horribly from the field. He is worse than Captain Jack was during the 12-13 season, he has been washed for the past three seasons and its probably going to somehow get even worse. Not worth a roster spot. Spurs need youth at the end of the bench that can be developed like Bertans and LJC not a 36 year old that has dropped off a cliff and is in free fall production wise.

net rating is a stat that can never be put into context. let it die.

A nasty that needs to be flushed down the toilet, just like the idea of having him on anyone's fantasy team.

You're so wrong about the fantasy part. I picked him up last year near the end of the year when everyone on his team was hurt. And he was producing really good fantasy numbers. I finished 3rd in my league.

Pretty much every metric you want to use shows that he has had a sharp decline after the 11-12, and 12-13 season and has free fallen.

Wasted by playing fantasy period, let alone having a bona fide jackass on your "fantasy" squad.

Its that line of thinking that has kept Perkins in the league despite his awful play. Captain had some nasty and he got cut after an bad season and the Spurs still went to the finals

Slow down a bit and make some sense
