I'll believe it when all the sandwich shops in SA are flying the flag at half mast.

I'll believe it when the Spurs have 15 guys on their roster and one of them isn't him.

He could still be at training camp in that event. Or if you mean the regular season, he could still be signed in the season.

You're a monster.

Re: Our long, national nightmare...
Normally I would have said don't ever hope... but then he publicly expressed his desire to play for the Celtics...

Honestly, I think the Spurs will resign Bonner for one more year. Tim leaving just opens up yet another spot for Pop's pet.

Re: Our long, national nightmare...
Hope FO does the right thing tbh :lol

Re: Our long, national nightmare...
Really hope he returns, just to see the thread that ensues:lol

Re: Our long, national nightmare...
The least he could do is bring Arcade Fire to San Antonio, ffs.

Re: Our long, national nightmare...
Tom Orsborn @tom_orsborn
Buford didn't rule out Matt Bonner returning. #Spurs

While I'm not really a fan of that in any way, this is the one year he might be better than other big prospects and actually be able to help. The idea of another year watching him chase the ball around the court like a six year old makes me slightly ill.
-
Re: Our long, national nightmare...
I am no Matty hater. In fact I like him as a person. The problem is the dude has been done for 2 years now.
-
Re: Our long, national nightmare...
He needs to go, I can't be bothered with the rage when I see he's signed another contract.
He's raged me enough already.
Seems I'm already going to have to deal with another season of Fat Head...
Go easy on us PATFO

Re: Our long, national nightmare...
Just like last year, fifth big. Behind Kyle and dedmon. last year he was behind boban. If dedmon is the new boban I'm fine with that.

Not even that. I like him too. The problem is that Pop puts him into positions where he doesn't help the team, and has done so for almost ten years now.

Except last year Boban was the 5th big and Bonner was the 6th. The Red Rocket is gonna get a promotion this season!
-
Re: Our long, national nightmare...
Pop pressured tim duncan to retire so he could keep Bonner on the roster

I won't dispute that. But he is done in addition to that. The last two years he hasn't even been able to go off against scrubs in garbage time or when the team already was up by 20.

More like spreads his ass for our opponents.

Re: Our long, national nightmare...
I like Mattie. He's a guy any one of us would have a great time hanging out with and would be a joy to have as a friend.
As a bball player. The loyalty severs there.
I'm glad he has a pretty woman (I see plastic surgery in her face, but whatever) who hopefully has his side through life like
he should hers.
But it's time to call a game a game. I know he wants to ride out another contract, or two- there are so few players that don't.
Pop. I know you're very concerned about your locker room culture with Tim gone and so many kids coming in with their millennial attitudes, BUT
That's why you signed Manu for Walt Disney money and you still have (snicker) Parker...
Manu can hold this tent down, dammit, when it comes to locker culture.
Let him go, Pop. Let him go.

In before someone says "but, but, but he's a warm body that can give 10 minutes a game on a minimum contract and knows the system!!".

You don't see Bertans as a potential combo forward able to play the 4? That's what we saw in SL.
