Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
No... no shit... I have zero patience for bad clock management. The Spurs had timeouts left. They could have called one, and gotten the ball on the other end of the court. No fucking excuse for inbounding the ball under the opponents' basket. They probably couldn't have lost the game at that point, but the only way it could happen would have been to get the inbound pass stolen. You just don't fucking do that.
I can understand the players getting caught up in the moment. (Not really, but go with it.) But there's Pop on the sideline doing fuckall. That's what losing teams and coaches to. ZERO excuse for that!

Danny's shot looks good this season compared to last year. Doubt he gets the touches he used to in the 2013 - 2015 offense, but as long as he hits at a good rate, he will be fine.

Charlotte played really well tonight. And Pop is getting road wins, albeit close games, without burning hug even minutes for the top of rotation guys while getting guys like Bertans and Simmons valuable burn.

No...no...no. He gets a fucking "Z" for this game. Fuck me, a high school coach should get an F for that last sequence.

Yup..
Also Poop not calling a timeout. They still had one.

It's the night before Thanksgiving. Pop wants to go home.

Being the teams offensive bell cow and locking down opposing teams best player is impossible for any player all season long. Spurs need rest of team to step up defense

Pop rests himself much more than he does his players - he just does it while he is on the bench.

He's lost his edge. No GOOD coach sits there and lets that ball get inbounded. He was a great coach. He brought championships to SA. But he clearly doesn't have the fire that he had. Move the fuck over, Pop, if you aren't going to give it 100%.

Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
Spurs would have won comfortobly though if Poop just played a Hot hand leonard the whole 3rd.

Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
MVParker was a boss to end the game but couldn't have done it without the Kingslayer. Are the Spurs better without Parker? My ass.
-
Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
When DG hits his open shots SA gets so much better. Parker played really well in the 4th quarter.
Fun game to watch. The bench was pretty bad tonight especially Manu and Lee (except for Bertans)

Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
Pau was a nice positive tonight too. Heady play, some decent defense (with lapses of course), good assists, timely shots.
-
Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
Bench is a major concern, hopefully Dedmon back soon but Pop, can't go totally bench, In a competitive game. Leave a scoring starter in at all times.
-
Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
Realistically, what do the Spurs do to improve bench play? Keep hoping that Simmons gets back on track? Dedmon coming back will help quite a bit.
-
Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
We really need dedmon though...We could have used him for about 15 minutes or so tonight. Probably end up winning by 20. Lee works well with Dedmon.
Our bench might not be a lost cause if dedmon can just return already..And poop not treating him like rookie splitter.

Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
Bertans has managed to steal Anderson small ball minutes. :lol..
Bertans was really the only positive tonight off the bench.
-
Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
more bertans, less anderson.

Beating out Anderson shouldn't be a hard thing to do for a pro. :lol. I hope Bertans keeps improving. The bench really needs another shooter.
-
Re: GameThread: SPURS @ Hornets Wed 11/23 6PM(CT) 7PM(ET) 2AM(Riga)
Read that Bertans had a good performance today, cool!!
The guy is starting to learn the system, play him more Coach POp!

The bench HAS another shooter - Bryn Forbes. He just can't do anything else.

You know I always forget he's on the roster. Can't imagine he will be on much longer especially if Garino is supposedly doing good enough in the d-league.
