Sagirl after seeing Anderson total minutes played tonight in comparison to Bertans and Simmons
"Anderson 5 seconds played"... :cry
Must be a huge blow after expecting anderson fans expected him to play north of 20...:lol
Less minutes than his rookie year
:lol

Where I disagree with Pop is he should've left Aldridge in at least. Both shouldn't have been on the bench at such a crucial point.
But if Kawhi closes that quarter, he likely is subbed in later in the 4th than he was. And Charlotte is a good team, so let's give them some credit. They were going to make a run regardless, so whether it comes in the end of the 3rd, or the beginning of the 4th doesn't matter much IMO.
The bench has to figure out a way to maintain leads, and it'll only happen if Pop plays them at those points. Like I said, I do wish he kept at least LMA out there

Once Bertans gets comfortable in the NBA, we're going to be really glad to have him. He is automatic if he is wide open. His shot is beautiful, his release is high and quick. He is the anti-Bonner. The 2nd unit needs to make plays to find Bertans open. I don't give a shit if he misses. Feed the boy.
Aside from that, I hate Popovich's small-lineup with Lee @ C. Just waive a fucking G a get a C that can rebound the ball and play some D. Spurs can't afford having Gasol as the only C of the team while Dedmon is injured. Spurs almost blew the game away in the end of the 3rd quarter because of it.

Yea, it's definitely a win/win. It's important for this team to learn how to grind out wins, especially in hostile environments without TD's leadership and voice. It might not always look pretty this early on, but I mean winning games in November is not the goal.

This team is like the 2011 Lakers that won 57 games but got destroyed on PnRs & made Barea seem like the seconding coming of Tiny Archibald.
The only hope is Dedmon being a 15 minute rotation player & Softridge going nuclear in the postseason otherwise they are going to get swept in the 2nd rd.

The season is resting under Pop's ability to get over a simple tweet! If Pop forces dedmon to lose his cobfidence even though hes been amazing in every single minute he has played so far...Poop jist needs to go. He needs to get over himself.

IMO, it might be worth a try to play Fat Head at center since he's a good defensive rebound & knows how to use his length on defense.

Stephen Jackson is Dedmon's agent.:wakeup

So glad we won and covered. I hop Pop sends video of Walker's flop to the league. Methinks there's a fine coming for Kembullshit.

You know, one thing I will say is that while they aren't blowing teams out, they're at least winning the close games. Spurs last year got overlooked at how poor they were in crunch time situations because of many wins they had overall.

:tu. A rare non cliff jumping post from you. :lmao. Joking aside, I totally agree with your take. Part of me thinks it's why Pop goes to his mad scientist mode at the wrong time so this team continues to stay tested.

Had that inbounds play call not been reversed, would we have lost the game?

You're gonna get killed for saying that but I agree. And Lee can't play C ever again. Hope Pop stops this insanity.

Was thinking that earlier as well. If the Spurs start figuring things out this could end up being a blessing in disguise.

Now that I've filled my non cliff jumping post for the season, back to being a pessimistic s.o.b

At leadt he can probably defend a shoeless player, tbh.

The team seemed really tight/happy for each other when Tony nailed that 3 at the end. Love seeing that kind of camaraderie on this Spurs team without TD leading it. Feel like it's the first time I've seen something like that all season.
Kawhi was just unreal tonight. Man does he remind me of MJ when he gets in a groove like that.

He's played plenty of good D this season. This was just a bad matchup for him. It'll be the same against Boston.

Actually, I'm pretty sure he couldn't guard a footless player.
