Yes, because believing Pop can be mistaken and believing that he has been wrong his entire career about a player that he has spent thousands of hours training and coaching because YOU know better is definitely the exact same fucking thing.
Seriously, how much fucking ego do you have to have to seriously believe you know better about something so inextricably vital to the Spurs team than their head coach? You've likely never spent more than 5 minutes around Tony Parker, yet you know him better. K. lol

You're conflating what I said. I never made any judgments on Parker's entire career. I didn't even say he wasn't a significant contributor. I basically referred to the idea that Parker can play hero ball and that can lead to bigger numbers. That's a pretty rational opinion. And you in your apparent contempt for me (or perhaps a need to blow of steam) took that somewhere else.
We can debate about how "vital" Parker is and was. How about you tell me? Do the Spurs not win championships without him? Is that what you think? And you're trying to throw out desperate arguments about me needing to spend time with Parker? Well, fuck; why even post on a messageboard at all, then, huh? Are you fucking hanging around the Spurs locker room or practice facility? GFY on that weak shit, you fucking punk ass.

No, you said he didn't buy into team play in 2014 and got carried. Maybe you should go back and read your arguments before you try to remember what you said. :lol

Obviously the Spurs win at least one title without Parker considering we won it in 99 before Parker was there. :lol Parker was fairly terrible on 03, excellent in 05, dominant in 07, and good to great in 14. 03 is probably the only one you could make an argument for, and Tony wasn't old enough to drink at that time. Imagine Dejounte Murray playing in the Finals this year as a starter. :lol

Desperate arguments? You have a crackpot conspiracy theory about how Parker is some kind of selfish egomaniac that would ONLY fly on Spurstalk with trolls and people with sub-80 IQ points.
:lmao Now you're mad. Uh oh. The name calling is really scary. :lmao Weak shit and weaker takes. Fake ass Spurs fan. "Well I bought league pass so I'm a real fan". That's the weakest claim to fandom I've ever fucking heard.

Well, the 14 comment about the team carrying him was somewhat tongue n' cheek to the notion that Parker was the most valuable member of the 14 team, which is obviously bull shit.
Parker was an offensive contributor in all Spurs finals victories. But he's also the product of playing along side of the great Tim Duncan. His hero ball issues would've become an issue in about any other setting. And I'm not even saying Parker wasn't very good. I wouldn't be comparing D Murray to him at this point. Though, he certainly was not consistent in 03, and the Detroit defense was shutting him down in 05. In 07 he was relatively dominant; he certainly had a great finals. And in 08-12, some would argue he was the best player on the team. And in 13, he was even money in the finals. I've said this and things like this on many occasions. If you were paying attention at all, you would know that I'm not a "Porker" troll. But in his post prime, his selfishness has been glaring at times. I have to think that he got away with this because of his speediness, ability to get anywhere on the court, and great teammates like Manu and Timmy who were willing to defer in an iso-centric offense in which they all basically took their turns and relied on role players and each other to make shots when they were forced to defer.
14, Parker was still pretty good. And since then, he's had his moments too. But there's no denying that he is far from the consummate teammate. Hell, Brent Barry can tell you that.
And hey, I went on a cussing tirade and all; but that's still weak shit to be talking about how I need to fucking hang out with TP to know that there's issues there.
And you can mock the quote that I bought LP b/c I'm a fan; but isn't that what fucking fans do, moron? I'm still waiting for you to make a legit case about how I'm not supposed to be a fan? The closest you've came is that I'm not suckling Tony's nut sack.

Players have bad shooting nights in the finals. List of guys with at least 10 FGA who shot 27% or worse (as Parker did in both games) ... lots of HOFers / future HOFers on the list:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/...7&order_by=pts
- Kobe
- MJ
- Curry (x2)
- Westbrook
- Dirk
- Magic
- Lebron
- Kareem
- Parish
- Pippen (x3)
- Allen
- McHale
- Duncan (x2)
- Parker (x3)
- Bosh
- Harden (x2)
Even Ray Allen shot 0 for 13 in a finals game. Let's not lump Parker in with guys like John Starks for whom 2 or 3 for 18 was the norm. Though I do find it stunning he's never had ten assists in a finals game but Duncan has.
Good read, tbh. I remember Pippen mightily struggling on the offensive end in some finals games too. And people often compare Kawhi to him. There's no Jordan to save us though.

Fair enough. I didn't realize you meant your comment partially in jest. I don't know anyone that is arguing that Parker was the best player, he just wasn't the worthless bag of ass that the helmet crew on here makes him out to be, and frankly the take is getting quite old to read.

Yea, you were sort of right if you were taking me literally. I tend to overstate my arguments when dealing with the Kawhitards and the Porkertards. I think they're both valuable components. I was always a pretty big Parker fan. I was rooting for him to get MVP in 09-10 I think it was when he was having the career year and would've been my MVP based on the first half of the season. I have become something of a Parker hater in the last couple seasons with him forcing sh** as if it was still 2012. But I ain't one of the doofises who throw hate at him no matter what.
