Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...
We all know what comes next. The real question is, "will Pop do it against Orlando before the all star break? "

Re: Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...

Re: Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...
They got outsplashed, tbh. Any team that rains down 24 3's is probably going to win.
Lol,, today's NBA.
-
Re: Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...
The Nuggets shot 54.5% from the field, out rebounded the Warriors by more than 20, Klay didn't play, and Curry shot below 25%. The only stat that is evidence of a real problem for the Warriors is the rebounding and lack of depth. Everything else was a fluke.

Obvious trap game after blowing out OKC and Memphis, tbh..not to mention you aren't going to beat a team that makes 24 3s:lol
Jokic is a monster, offensively, though..best passing C I've seen since Sabonis..

Re: Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...
GSW had a really bad night, and put up 110 points, shooting 49% overall. These 36% shooting nights that the Spurs have had recently aren't going to cut it.
Denver went 24-40 from downtown. That's 60% of their 3-pointers, while shooting "just" 50% on 2-pointers. It helps that they out-rebounded the Warriors 52-27.
Jokic is a beast. The Hernangomez brothers have had a pretty good week, too.

It's just funny you actually believe that. There have been several occasions where we won after they lost. Kinda puts your theory to rest

Stop it with the facts. It's annoying, and it stifles discussion.

Spurs have already lost to MEM and to a struggling Knicks team.
They did beat Monta though, but still have to lose to the Clippers.
In conclusion, they should beat the Magic and leave the Warriors compensation game for Friday.

If the Warriors have a fan talk site like Spurs Talk.
"Fire Kerr he's too much like Pop, ---Blow up the team---they are gutless worms. This one loss means we absolutely can't win the championship. It's all the fault of [pick one: KD, Curry, Thompson, Iguadala, McGee] --The Cavs will kill us again--The Cavs? you moron, we won't even get past the second round against the Clippers.

'Tis a bit of humor... but I do bet their fans have to be concerned about dat rebounding and bad defense though.

Re: Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...
^^They have the #2 defense in the NBA IIRC..

Jokic is underrated this year. He's quietly become a very good/great big.

And that's where we can beat them. Every team in the league has fatal flaws matchups mean everything this season.

They need to look at the watered down league TBH, like the smart Spurfan does. :lol
We ain't buying any of our good defense either. Only the elites matter and Spur ran over them in the season opener. They need to be jumping off cliffs I say. :toast
:lmao

Re: Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...
51% on jump shots and only 67% on layups? :lol

Warriors can't play Yesterday's Nba on nightly basis. Whipped Grizzlies and Thunder, Bully ball and ISO ball back to back nights.Yesterday they ran into superior Today's Nba.

Re: Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...
Have you guys read this story about Jokic. SAGirl orginally posted the link http://www.si.com/nba/2017/02/08/nik...-darko-milicic
I'm amazed that he's been able to turn it all around after reading that article. Being out of shape may have turned his whole career around as he was supposed to sign with FC Barcelona, but they changed their minds after watching him in a game (the deal was supposedly agreed upon, but he was so poor in a game they came to watch, and so out of shape, they changed their minds). He might of still been in Europe and possibly never even come to the NBA if he stayed there.
Here's a quote from his agent in that article “In the end, Arturas is the guy who convinced us to change our strategy,” Raznatovic remembers. “Arturas said, ‘His skills are not in doubt. It’s his body. Where will he have a better chance to improve his body, in the NBA or in the Euroleague?’”
If he had of stayed in Europe, he may never have improved his body enough to come to the NBA IMO. He may not have changed his diet or habits enough. So being out of shape, may have actually helped him get to the NBA and get to this point.
I've been watching him play lately, and on offense, he's a pretty amazing passer/player. I can see why most/all of his Nuggets teammates want their court time with him on the floor. If you're open, he'll get you the ball.

Re: Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...
Why would getting to the fattest country in the World help him get thinner, tbh? :lol
-
Re: Warriors were blown out by the Nuggets tonight...
It's still amazing how good Sabonis was when he "washed up" on the Trail Blazers.

I'm pretty sure the NBA has decent trainers. Staying around and home isn't likely to break bad habits. What ever happened to guys like that Greek Shaq? He seemed to have eaten himself out of a promising NBA career.

Yeah, I really do wonder how good he would have been in the NBA if he was able to play there during his prime.

So does Europe. I don't see how getting to the country with the worst eating habits in the World would help someone lose weight. What helps a person lose weight is self-control and determination. Maybe getting to the NBA was what Jokic needed to get serious about basketball, tbh.

He appeared by his own admission to not be that motivated or focused. It's possible with some maturity anywhere he would have whipped himself into shape anyways, that's speculation. But the way things snook out, he really didn't try until he had to in order to improve his chances in the NBA...

You're more comfortable at home. Going to a different country may have made the difference in breaking his bad habits.
Also, going by that quote from his agent, it seems like they consider the NBA trainers to be better.
