Interesting that the spurs would be interesred.
Because his value is a second round draft pick. The Spurs won't do better than that unless they part with rotation players.

Re: Spurs reported interested in Stanley Johnson
Who would the spurs give up though?
Anderson and forbes are prob the only two id get rid of quick..
Not sure it these two are enough to pull off that trade.

Dude, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to shoot with Green in 2K17. He fucking misses everything for me, even when wide open. I think it's because of his quick, weird release. I can't tell when is the optimal time to release. The meter seems to move way faster for him, which is stupid...it should be easier to shoot with good shooters, regardless of their particular form.

Would be nice to get someone with some huge upside to develop.

Re: Spurs reported interested in Stanley Johnson
I was high on him in the draft process... it hasn't translated..

Re: Spurs reported interested in Stanley Johnson
Would be a good trade for the right price. Can't start him at the two though bc he can't shoot. Rather have Hezonja

Re: Spurs reported interested in Stanley Johnson
One of those Amir Johnson types who's never all that good and never winds up being a Spur?

Amir Johnson's a 4, Stanley's a 3. He's a big guy (6'7 245) but he plays and moves like a 3

Re: Spurs reported interested in Stanley Johnson
This would be worth considering in the off-season, but like harlem said, it doesn't help us in winning this year

Green is fine for me, the person I can't figure out is Mills. I hit like 1 in 6 with him.
On Johnson, hard for Spurs to make salaries work without moving one of Green or Mills. Could trade Lee + Anderson but don't see them doing that to a guy who signed here on a min deal.

You clearly haven't watched him play and strictly going by stats...

Just because they don't deal often, doesn't mean they don't take and make calls.
And I'm sure Spurs have a price on every player on the roster outside of Kawhi, Tony, Manu and DeJounte ( maybe).
This. Anyone who thinks the Spurs unplug their phones really doesn't understand how running professional sports organizations works.

To be clear, this rumor is bullshit. Too many people are acting like it's real, but it's a dude taking the Lowe article and making it seem like it's not something that happened three months ago.

Re: Spurs reported interested in Stanley Johnson
Maybe he can crack the rotation in 4 years, if, and only if, he gets over himself.

No GM is going to want to deal with the Spurs when it comes to shipping off a talented young player. Even if the deal makes sense the media will destroy them.

Would suck if GM's really believed that. RC also has a tendency of getting cucked in trades. Not even going to mention Scola or Dragic.
He gave away Splitter for free, when Miles Plumlee can get you Nurkic and a first round pick in today's NBA.
He gave away NBA Champion, Dick Jefferson and a first round pick for a player that later got cut before the playoffs the next year.
He gave away Diaw for a summer league player that got cut in the summer league.
etc etc

SJax was worth it, should have been a Championship year.
But yes, otherwise I agree with you.
Other then Man From Nazr acquired for Malik Rose and the resulting Championship, has there been a successful trade deadline by RC?
Last years stupid mid 30s chucking guard, that was terrible.

All 3 deals were very successful.
