He's gave money to the Clintons and palled around with them. He's never said an ill word of them; he was an outspoken critic against their rival(s); and you're somehow trying to give him an out? Fuck that.

Your point of view is respected. And that's about it, bud.

Don't really know what that is supposed to mean, tbh.
In any event, Pop doesn't get a pass. If he supports/endorses it, he owns it.

None. My wife and her family are from Canutillo. Nearly every person in their neighborhood are home owners and illegal. Or there are several illegals "visiting" every single day.
Don't even ask me how that shizz works.
This wall is nothing, but sunk money for future votes.
Israel has a real wall and it fucking works great.

Jesus fucking Christ, I can only imagine what you geniuses probably look like. Most likely 60+ years old, have 1 front tooth (barely), a puffy cheek filled with chewing tobacco, mullets with no hair up top, get their news from Facebook, etc
Pop spits on you

LOL. That's one thing you can count on.
I do think Pop has gotten sort of carried away and obsessed. I remember when Kerr accepted the job with Phoenix, but was still working for TNT. Pop made a comment about how he was wearing too many hats. I think Pop should take his own advice here. Voicing his opinion is one thing. But when he just keeps it up? He needs to be a coach, or go be an activist.
You know... even if he's right about everything, the sky isn't really falling.

Yeah, see, I worked there and saw it. It's not a wall - it's two really tall fences with razor wire at the top, separated by maybe 100 yards (guessing, I didn't get that close), with sensors all along and people watching. And it's not the fence, it's the fact that if you try to cross they'll shoot your ass enough times to make sure you're dead. It really doesn't matter how long it is. The fence isn't what keeps people out. But people here would lose the stomach for gunning down trespassers pretty quick.
Then again, regardless of what some of you clowns say or think, there are a LOT of countries in the world that take their borders seriously. Romania STILL has guys with machine guns at the borders and at the airports. I thought they were going to put me in jail because I had a few AA batteries in my luggage. And don't laugh inside one of the border stations in Jordan - about anything. Just don't. There's a lot of fucking ignorance on both sides of this border argument. Your little tiny corner of the world isn't the way the whole world is.

USA has the least guarded borders in the world and the least consequences to illegal immigration. Yet, we're the most controversial? This shows the level of forces working against this country, imo.

I've known for a while that Pop was liberal or liberal leaning. He had stayed in his lane before though and wasn't regurgitating a slew of shithead talking points.

I think building a $21.6 billion dollar concrete wall is pretty controversial in and of itself, without getting into a larger discussion about the motives behind it. It is also the reason why some lawmakers from his own party are balking at the idea.

good article about the challenges that come with meeting Trump's vision of the wall

"Sources tell CNN that the biggest job in moving forward is convincing the president that a fence is more secure (than a wall)."

Bingo.
Pop's a good coach made great by luck & a once in a generation basketball player. My guess is that he's also a massive hypocrite. All of his criticism for Trump being misogynistic is bullshit and politically partisan. Bill Clinton put his dick in a young intern's mouth in the OVAL fucking Office and you never hear Pop talk about that or the example it set for our kids. Hillary and her husband worked the political system for power and fortune but you'll never hear him say it. Why? Because he's a lifelong shrill for the Democratic party and a socialist.
Meanwhile, Pop is carrying on an inappropriate relationship with a former coach's wife (who still resides in San Antonio) while his own is recovering from Cancer. I personally don't care what he does and with whom he does it - just don't throw your holier than thou bullshit in my face.
He knows he has his own skeleton's in his closet and that's one reason he doesn't like to talk about himself. He also treats sideline reporters with disdain and is completely disrespectful towards many in the media. How is that for setting an example for others? You don't like doing something that is your responsibility? Act like an asshole because you can't have things your way.
I respect the guy for helping bring multiple Championships to San Antonio but I don't care for the dude or his shtick. It's tired.
** Just a disclaimer - I didn't vote in this year's election in protest to our 2 party system. Yeah, I could have written in a name but that is a waste of time. To think that Donald Trump is POTUS blows my mind. I saw it coming and I'm not totally surprised, I'm just amazed. I know HOW he did it, but it doesn't make it any easier to fathom. His election in my opinion will be the greatest sign to our kids that ANYONE can become POTUS. The man is an egomaniac and an imbecile. I only hope that he surrounds himself with smart people to guide him through the next 4 years. He has the temperament of a child.

Re: Great piece on Pop (very informative) from the Washington Post (also political)
As expected, Poop's racism is left out of this puff piece because he virtue-signals in public for the "correct" political views. If Media had any integrity, they'd ask Mr. "Progressive" the tough questions he needs to answer about how he treats outspoken black players - starting with the Stephen Jackson incident. They'd also ask him why he takes all the credit for his team's success through the racist "system" narrative while undermining the African-American players on his rosters. But that will never happen. Poop's protected because he votes Democrat. We don't have journalists in this country; only activists working for the opposition party.

That whole Stephen Jackson thing was a ruse to cover up the real reason he was cut. It had nothing to do with what has been reported publicly and more to do with the inner-workings of the locker room and players' personal lives off the court.
