GT: Spurs @ OKC (7:00 PM CT/3:00 AM Riga/ESPN) sponsored by Andre Roberson's will
Sneaky important game..Spurs need to prevent OKC from passing Clippers for the 5th seed..We can't have all bad matchups on our side of the bracket....
An opportunity for Leonard to bust out of his 3PT funk and learn how to deal better with lanky defenders siccced on him and aided by swarming help D at every move..This is going to be the play against the Spurs in the postseason: everyone but Kawhi gets to beat us..

didn't think know we're playing over there. looking forward to the game even more.
westbrook's my favorite non spur right now. well he and dirk.
if spurs lose in the POs i'll actually be rooting for okc. i like adams, taj, sabonis. would be great to see them beat the warriors.

Hope the guys have a good game... They still have things to work on. Kind of dismaying that this late in the season they still have a lot to work on but Kiwi needs to embrace the facilitator role if he's swarmed. Guys better get ready to make shots.
I think they will bounce back.

Robertson is a badass defender btw. Second best wing defender after Kawhi imo. Wouldn't be opposed to bringing him home and letting Chip go to work on his shot, tbh.

Averaged 4.3 assists in both the first and last 7 games of March.

Hmm not sure about that. Clips falling to 6 would be interesting. OKC has no chance vs Houston but the Clips could potentially win that series. Would rather avoid Houston in Round 2 if possible.

Re: GT: Spurs @ OKC (7:00 PM CT/3:00 AM Riga/ESPN) sponsored by Andre Roberson's will
KL will go for 40. But I would like to see KL assigned to just follow RW around even on offense to prevent him from stat padding rebounds. That would fuck his world up.

Spurs would have no chance against the Clippers in a series, even with how dysfunctional they've looked lately.

Tonight is going to be a pivotal game in regards to my opinion of our current Spurs team. If they can come out blazing and smoke these thunder, I can believe they're horsing around until the playoffs (like they do many seasons). If they fool around and lose or win by a last second shot, I call bull on these guys being contenders

All I want to see tonight is our bigs compete with theirs. Show some freaking toughness. Seedings are already set for us, so a Loss doesn't make a difference there. I just want to see some tougher play and not let them push our guys around

Thunder are also low-key playing their best ball of the season tbh. Fully expecting a loss here, but as has been said this game has no meaning; Spurs will have the second best record locked up by the end of the night regardless.
-
Re: GT: Spurs @ OKC (7:00 PM CT/3:00 AM Riga/ESPN) sponsored by Andre Roberson's will
Lol, I was just watching a pre-game show with Beadle, Chauncey Billups and Byron Scott. Billups was giving TP all sorts of grief about looking old. He said "he's probably a first ballot HOF'er, he's got some rings, but man..he's looking like me now, old man Billups"...something to that effect.
Byron Scott chimed in with "Yeah, but he's got Kawhi Leonard to pass to now..". I think he sensed Billups' words were a bit harsh and tried to lighten things up and put a positive spin on the segment.

Maybe I'm crazy but I'm fully expecting a win. OKC manhandled the Spurs last time out & if they have any pride the Spurs will want to wipe the memory of that ass-kicking they got from the Warriors a couple of days ago. That was a sad, embarrassing loss. Not because they lost, but because of how they lost. You don't give up 22 point leads at home and feel good about yourselves. The Warriors did anything they wanted on the offensive end of the court and even let David West punch the guys in the mouth. You just don't let that happen, have pride in yourself and then come out and get another ass whooping. Fuck that. I'm getting pissed just thinking about it. PUT ME IN COACH!!

Been saying it all year: the Spurs can't beat the Thunder in a series. Unfortunately, it's starting to look like they'll be hard-pressed to beat any of their potential first round opponents right now. Teams have figured out how to shut down their offense (Kawhi).

Midrange is easier to defend. Westbrook, Harden have even worst supporting casts and they usually have no problem generating offense, whether through scoring or playmaking.

Happy that Kyle played well.
I want to see Simms play well too.
Frankly Manu and Mills are concerning. One is old as heck and the other undersized as heck and his performance against last season's OKC was an alarm bell.
I suspect simms and anderson have to both play well off the bench.

Re: GT: Spurs @ OKC (7:00 PM CT/3:00 AM Riga/ESPN) sponsored by Andre Roberson's will
Yep..I'm afraid the book on how to beat is team is officially out..Actually it's been there ever since Doc employed this strategy of swarming and denying Kawhi and daring the rest to carry the day for the Spurs in 2015 series..
The lack of dynamic play makers/penetrators that would make defenses pay for collapsing and moving out of positions is choking off our offense..
Third consecutive postseasons they are going to die similar death..This shit is on the front office and the coaching staff..
