I think the biggest issue with the Nats is the manager position. Williams and Dusty have just killed them with poor decisions over the years.

I almost wanted to book the Nationals an NCLS visit when an amped up Scherzer strutted to the mound and blew through Bryant and Rizzo, and then it just all went to Hell. One of the chokiest innings I've seen in baseball, up there with the Bartman game 7th inning, also a Dusty Baker team :lol

I think bringing in Scherz was the logical move to bridge two innings to Madson and then Doolittle.

Dusty started Werthless for five straight games. Waited too long to take Gio out, took Albers out too early, gambled on pitching Scherzer on short rest. He's not the only problem with the Nationals, but he's a terrible manager who should be fired.

Also the quick hook on Strikezer in game 3. Imo, his biggest mistake this series.

Werthless finally did something!
