Well, he did put a run on the board.

Re: Official 2017 MLB Season Thread
What an embarrassing strikeout for Zimmerman.

Re: Official 2017 MLB Season Thread
9-7 game on the 8th inning in the deciding game of a playoffs series and there's people sleeping on the stands. Just lol sons.

Re: Official 2017 MLB Season Thread
8th inning... the place where dreams go to die, tbh.

Re: Official 2017 MLB Season Thread
This is not even that surprising, considering CJ and Davis both(among other in BP) had high BB rates during the reg season. It will likely spell our doom in the postseason.

What a joke. That footage was not conclusive at all, but the league really wants their Cub$/Dodger$ NLC$.

Re: Official 2017 MLB Season Thread
WOW! I'm shocked they overturned that. I mean he was prolly out but that was not my definition of incontrovertible proof.

Re: Official 2017 MLB Season Thread
Never mind, that was indeed incontrovertible proof.

Same. Old. Nats.
They need to just go back to the basement and let a real team get the playoff spot they've been wasting every year.

Re: Official 2017 MLB Season Thread
The Kansas City Chiefs lost? Shocker

Re: Official 2017 MLB Season Thread
I'm happy cause I think the Cubs are the better matchup for the Dodgers, but the Nats played probably the worst game (fundamentally wise) I've ever seen. Who the fuck slides back to first feet first on a pickoff attempt? Werth missing an easy fly ball. Wieters fuckin' up in all facets of the game. It was the Bad News Bears out there.

You should be happy. Dodgers get a team that isn't hitting for power, that can't convert RISP when they do get traffic on base and it also happens to have a bullpen that leakier than a diarrhea filled diaper. Dodgers win 4-0.

Yep. But I'm worried about your clutch factor and the Dodgers choke factor. Nats are huge chokers too, but I know they would've found their mojo vs. us, and their team is more fearful on paper.

The fuck? The Doyers are the best team on paper in the majors by far.

Scherzer>Kershaw
Strasberg>Wood
Gio>Hill
And our BP has been a shitstorm since August aside from Jansen, while Madson and Doolittle have been lockdown. Their heart of the order is deadly, Harper, Zim, Murphy, and anchor by Taylor. Bellinger is great, but he's a rookie with an uppercut swing that is going to have a tough time against good pitching with a plan. Granderson is a total deadspot, and so are Forsythe and Grandal. Seager, Turner, and sometimes Taylor are our only trusty bats. We're better defensively, though.

Hence why I said on paper. In reality we know it's different, but if they played the game and performed how their reg season stats indicate, Kershaw would dominate every game he pitched while Hill, Wood, and Darvish would get enough run support to make up for the fact they'd give up more runs than Scherzer, Strasberg, and GG. Nearly every batter the Doyers put out there is a big name with the history/stats to back it up, but when it matters a lot of them have choked (except Granderson, not sure why he's been so bad with LA).
