Nah. Love plays no defense and never sniffed the playoffs in Minny.
I like Hayward. His main issue is that he's good at a lot of things but not really elite at any one thing. Obviously not a #1, but definitely good enough to be a really important piece on a championship team, imo. To answer the OP's question I do think he's a max player because the market has shown us that you don't have to a legit #1 to warrant the max. There's guys that are worse than Hayward making the max.

God damn :lmao :wow
Re: Gordon Hayward hype...
He is half the talent that Kawhi is, but I think he is being sold short here. He is a max on a middle team for sure. That jazz team healthy is a playoff team.
Re: Gordon Hayward hype...
Rudy Gobert is close to max though I reckon, based on potential.

That Jazz team unhealthy (like this year) already is a playoff team and above teams like OKC and MEM
Re: Gordon Hayward hype...
You have to think, there's about 60-90 max player slots available in the league. Hayward may not be a top 10 player, but he's definitely a max player.
Unfortunately, only 5-10 teams in the league can use the max on a top 10 player.

Re: Gordon Hayward hype...
Not really. Blake is out as well, so it's not shocking that the Jazz beat the Clippers in Utah without Hayward for much of the night.
They are the Clippers, after all, not the Warriors.

That horse is named John Stockton, Karl rode him to the playoffs each year.
