Spurs are locked into a first-round matchup with Memphis. Predictions? Thoughts on the individual matchups in the series?
Spurs in 5. Grizz will win one in Memphis.
They are a tough and gritty team who made things difficult in the regular season, but let's be real..they haven't seen the real Spurs yet.
I expect Gasol's minutes to rise. Should be fun to watch Pau vs. Marc in a whole series.
Spurs in 5 but I think they'll lose game 1
Only concern is the lousy zebras. Not sure when the grizz started getting thunderef calls but all season they've screwed us.
Gonna tentatively call Spurs in 7. Just not confident in the Spurs' offense against physical defenses.
Darius Bieber: Memphis will sweep, no game will be within 25.
Spurs in 6. But after a hard fought first round, the Rockets seem easier and without defense. Like Dallas in 2014 Spurs will emerge better for having gone through Memphis.
Frizz have historically been a tough out regardless of the opponent.
The phoenix!

I'm interested in seeing if Kawhi can elevate his game in the playoffs.
Spurs in 5 close games, or 6, easier than what the final series score indicates, games.
Another year another spurs sweep of the grizzlies imo...
I'd like to see Tiago run out of the crowd WWF style, tear off his shirt to reveal a Spurs jersey, and make life Hell for Z-Bo again.
As long as, you know, Tiago doesn't sprain his calf on the way in and miss the rest of the playoffs. :lol
Spurs in 6..
Our guards against Memphis this season.....
Manure Turnobili:
34.8FG%, 30.8 3P%, 88 ORtg 105 DRtg, -18.6 +/-
D-League Green:
35.3FG%, 20.0 3P%, 94 ORtg 109 DRtg
Microwave Mills:
37FG%, 38.9 3P%, -8.9 +/-
Head of the Snake:
40FG%, 33.3 3P%, -2.5 +/-
The Grizz are awful. :lol
Spurs in 5 or 4.
At least the first round isnt as boring as last year though.
Spurs in 4. Kawhi ain't fukin around this postseason.
This will be a great matchup to get our offense together.
It should be a chippy, scrappy series. Looking forward to next week!
Spurs gotta bring it, but, we have the better talent and team.
This isn't fear of the Grizzlies, who are as flawed and mediocre as ever; it's the reality that the Spurs have been entirely unconvincing the entire season and the Grizzlies probably gaining confidence from the season series. What have you seen out of this team that makes you confident they do what they should and beat this team in 4 or 5?
I'm going 6, with the games being mostly close throughout.
As far as match-ups, if they labor to score the way they have since Gasol got injured, Dedmon could be limited to just the first 6 minutes of the 1st and 3rd quarters, with a 3 big rotation thereafter.
One that won't happen but should: Bertans playing backup small forward, since he should be able to be safely hidden on Ennis.
The Grizz outside Conley really struggle to create penetration basket. They have the same problem as the spurs except they Don't have Leonard.
Parker-Ginobili-Leonard might be a combination of old and average penetrators, but it's infinitely better than what the Grizz have. To add to their problems, they like to exploit "Modern" teams with their size, something that isn't going to happen with Aldridge. Dedmon might be an issue with his foul problems, but Gasol isn't exactly a klutsdefending the post.
We're going to have a few "close" games against them largely because of both teams playing a slower playstyle. 8-12 point leads that bjt never feel threatened.
I can see them surprising the spurs in San Antonio, but its highly unlikely.
Ultimately, I can't see this game go past 5.
I know their issues. Again, this has nothing to do with them; they just so happen to be the opponent. Any team outside of the Nuggets (who probably aren't getting in) and I'd have said the same thing.
The offense has been laboring since Gasol broke his hand and they've had a great deal of difficulty sustaining all season. To be fair, it's worked both ways. They dig a hole early almost every game and come back, but still: nothing has come easy, so why would this?
I agree that they'll probably be a few pseudo close games, where the score is roughly even, give or take a few either way, but you never get the sense that the Spurs are going to lose . . . but 4 or 5 just doesn't feel right for this team.
As I've said before. The Spurs in either 4 or 5. The Grizzlies are not a good basketball team.
Kawhi >>>>> Conley
Aldridge >>>>>>> Marc
Pau = Randolph
The Spurs perimeter players (not named Kawhi Leonard and Mike Conley) are better than the Grizzlies' perimeter players. The Grizzlies give minutes to Andrew Harrison who is by far the worst perimeter player getting minutes. He's atrocious on offense, but thinks he's a star who should be shooting. This untalented and low BBIQ player will be the Spurs biggest asset when he's on the court.
The Spurs offense is better than the team that ranks 30th in field goal percentage and 26th in scoring.
The Spurs defense is better than the Grizzlies' defense. The Grizzlies will leave the Spurs' shooters open so if they get hot from 3 it could be even worse for the Grizzlies.
JaMychal and Brandon Wright >> David Lee and Dedmon
Popovich >>>>>>>> Fizdale
It would be shocking if the Spurs let this series go past 5 games.
Pau is too sentimental to face his brother, LMA can't handle Zbo for some reason even at his age, Kawhi will get treat by Allen, Griezz in six...
I will want to shower after we beat them.
Oh... It's all about me.
Let's not overanalyze this. Spurs in 5.
Spurs-Spurs-Grizz-Spurs-Spurs.
Grizz in 6...
San Antonio wins in 5. Only one win of the Spurs will be close. Book it.
This faggot has to quote himself cause nobody gives a shit about what he says.
could go either way....spurs in 6?
