Good news is that the only teams that appear to be running on all cylinders are the Dubs and the Clips, neither of which we would see until the WCF.
This. The defense looks awful. They couldn't stop the Jazz? They kept getting fooled by the diving big man, and regularly left shooters wide open. It was pre-season quality basketball. Tim would have never tolerated that shit.
And on offense they looked very poor. They are lucky TP had it going on ISO's. Kawhi was disappointing.

This Spurs team is damn good. Give them time to gamelan? They are going to crush MEM.

Why the hell is Green practicing his shooting inside the arc? Does he know he averages 0.5 free throw attempts a game? Lmfao man work on that broke shot

Yep. Lot of defensive miscues last few times they've played. They gotta clean those up

Re: Round 1: Spurs vs. Grizzlies brought to you by Avoid At All Costs
Interesting tidbit on Manu vs MEM this year (and the bench in general):
Quote:
The number to know
+8.9 -- For the second straight season, the Spurs led the league in *aggregate bench NetRtg at plus-8.9. Patty Mills, Manu Ginobili, David Lee and Jonathon Simmons all ranked in the top 10 in raw plus-minus off the bench and Pau Gasol has been remarkably efficient off the bench since returning from his hand injury. But in their four games against Memphis, the Spurs' aggregate NetRtg was minus-4.5 and Ginobili's minus-20 over the four games was his worst plus-minus against any opponent.

Also, for those lamenting TP vs MEM:
Quote:
According to SportVU, the players who defended each other most over the four games were Tony Parker and Mike Conley. Parker scored 21 points on 10-for-21 shooting with Conley defending him (for 23:18), while Conley scored 18 points on 7-for-17 shooting with Parker defending him (for 23:58).

DPG21920 dropping bombs on Argentina like he's Germany :wow
-
Re: Round 1: Spurs vs. Grizzlies brought to you by Avoid At All Costs
Argentina protected Nazis, tbh, IIRC, fwiw... BFFs with Germany...
But yeah, Manu probably has one of the toughest matchups in this series against a rejuvenated Vince Carter...

He's practicing free throws... Pretty common for all players to do this.

Re: Round 1: Spurs vs. Grizzlies brought to you by Avoid At All Costs
So how many HOFers in this series (not counting Pop and Becky, etc)?
Locks: Tony, Manu, Pau, Vince
On Pace: Kawhi (probably a lock already), LaMarcus, Marc
Outside Chance: Z-Bo
No Chance But Had A Good Enough Career Someone Will Bring Them UP Anyway: Mike C., David Lee, Tony Allen

Carter is nowhere near a lock :lol
Lamarcus is not on Pace unless San Antonio wins a ring.
Unless a catastrophoc injury were to happen Leonard..At worst he's going to be a top 30 player ever.
Marc is not on pace. :lol
Tony and Manu are locks
Kawhi barring injury will make it
Gasol-Aldridge needs a champipnship.

I think Carter is a lock.
I think Pau is probably in.
LMA needs a ring.
