I can't actually think most of those guys thought the Spurs were going to lose. They've just come back too much recently.

Spurs are pretty uncertain, when the game started they looked like a bunch of old fucks, like gassed but that wasnt the case.

I don't even bother coming onto the site reading this horseshit during the playoffs. After we lost games 3 and 4 to okc in 2014, everyone thought It was over. I said, "popovich should start diaw instead of Splitter ". Some dumbass up here thought it was a stupid idea. Popvoch did it and the rest is history. After we lost game 2 of the 2014 finals, there were about 3 or 4 threads claiming it's over. I said," we'll win game 3 convincingly, I guarantee it" and guaranteed victory in the finals(do a search). People here expect us to shoot 100% and win every game.

It's just a thing...or 'thang'. Psychologically, people go with 'told you so'. Either, 'I told you they sucked' or 'Told ya' they'd go all the way'.

No matter. Predictions prescriptions. Spurs have as good of a shot as anyone so, in fact more...roll with it. Very hard to win an NBA championship. Or a Superbowl or a Stanley Cup or a World Series or..'whatever'.

Even if they lost game 1 after that start, which took scorching hot shooting from Memphis to build lead at first (Marc was channeling his inner Ibaka not missing a shot in 2012), the Spurs still likely win in 5 and 6 at most. Might be an annoying opponent but not a difficult one.

This thread had potential to be much worse, tbh. These comments are pretty moderate compared to some game threads :lol

Obviously I was pissed at the start, but I saw it as similar to how our Spurs started against the Drubs. Started really hot and then crashed to earth. The shots that Memphis were hitting were really unsustainable. They were hitting some really lucky shots. I didn't however, think the Spurs were gonna flip the switch the way they did, pleasant surprise!
