Rockets played like ass, they just played against the biggest ball hog in NBA history and manage to stumble into 4 wins.

They won game 5 shooting 6-37 from 3. I had to look that up because I couldn't believe my memory was telling me they shot that poorly.

i really think spurs in 4. we will be fresh bfr gsw.

Predicted Spurs in 5 at the start of the postseason, but Houston's role players have been playing extremely well this postseason while the Spurs' simply have not.

-If that trend continues, Rockets in 6.

-If the Spurs' role players show up and Kawhi/Tony keep it up, Spurs in 7.

-If the Rockets role players fall back to Earth, Spurs in 5.

If Harden's wrist is still bothering him that will be huge.

In a long series the Rockets will likely have at least one game where they shoot extremely poorly from three and at least one where they shoot extremely well. The variance of a three-point shot is greater than that of an equivalent (in eFG%) two-point shot, this can be proven mathematically.

The Rockets are definitely dangerous but the Spurs are decently well-equipped to handle them. Kawhi and Green can take turns on Harden, and the Spurs' frontcourt should do most of the damage on offense, especially on the offensive boards. The Memphis series was perfect for wings to dominate, the same should go for the bigs against Houston.

Rockets in 3 tbh. Spurs don't even need to show up for Game 4.

That's what happens when the NBA tries to milk the fuck out of the first round.

Spurs in 7. They split the first four games, winning on each other's home court once. Then Spurs win Game 5, Rockets win Game 6, and Spurs close it out in Game 7.

This will be the best series of the playoffs. I'm not sure who will win or how many games it will take.

This series is made for Dedman, he can move his feet against the guards and hopefully the Spurs will be looking for him for lobs on the other end of the court.

Spurs 7. I rarely predict a 7 game series, but this is one of those times. I just think Harden is going to go nuclear in at least 3 games and the Spurs role players will fag it up.

My biggest worry is Patrick Beverly against Parker, I could see a Beverly cheap shot coming. But I still think with Harden's hurt wrist the Spurs take it in 5.

I'm so worried about this matchup. But Spurs in 5.

spurs are coming off a series against a gritty team that plays physical, is composed, clutch, and battle tested... rockets are coming off a series against a guy who pads rebounds so he can get triple doubles

Watch GS get two days off in between all of their WCSF games. 3 out of 4 of their games against Portland were on two days of rest. :lol

Gotta go Rockets in 6. The Spurs supporting cast has been brutal in these playoffs.

- I don't trust Aldridge to supplant Parker as the consistent 2nd scoring option in the series..The Parker regression is coming-- Beverley going to get sicced on him and he will be targeted more on defense-- and LMA has shown me nothing for entirety of the season to believe he will deliver that second Spurs punch.

- Houston has more reliable firepower on their bench..Lou/Gordon/Nene won them the series against OKC..

- Huge question mark over the Spurs second big/center. Pop not experimenting with the Kawhi at the 4 still boggles my mind..Lee/Pau/Dedmon may all prove to be unplayable in this series..

- Green shot still broken; we are in big trouble if his minutes are limited..Those Parker/Mills line-ups will get torched.

- Playoff Poop..

Rockets in 6, unless Kawhi goes nuclear.

Good practice for the Warriors. A lot of switching. If we struggle against the Rockets, we don't have much chance against the Dubs Church.

spurs need to run a LOT of off-ball action for danny. the rockets will undoubtedly hide harden on him, and he's a lazy defender who falls asleep all the time.

the parker/mills lineup wont work against houston when they bring in lou williams or eric gordon, so this is a series where we need danny out there for defense. if he's knocking down his shots on the other end, i think this series is really easy for us.

The Spurs in 6. I think they can win in 5 but I expect Harden to win his team at least 2 games. People also underrate how good Memphis was last round. I think they gave the Spurs the warm up they needed while the Rockets played the Thunder who were honestly a terrible team. Spurs will be ready.

Spurs in 6. Homer take: I haven't watched the rockets but from posts here I know their roleplayers are playing well while Spurs roleplayers just aren't and the bigs haven't been hitting their stride, so proper respect to the opponent and all, and very aware that Spurs aren't fully gelling.. I think they take a couple of games like this Memphis team did.

it may even take adjustments as Pop may inevitably want to play 2 bigs, 2 small PG lineups, etc... I hope some guys step up that need to. We shall see who catches rhythm.

Pop won with that group, he will ride them.
... thinking about that makes me a bit pessimistic and I want to support Spurs. I think in 6 but that is a homerism fandom, totally honest about that.

Stream it on your device. Not easy to find the games in Europe though you can always find a person to put it on, though the bar/club can close before it ends. (May not be English language feed though. I watched game 4 of the 2014 NBA finals in a night club in Riga, and the feeds language was French. Confusing. :lol But a win's a win.)

I'll be shocked if it's less than 6... but LMA should have a much easier time against Nene...

Really tired of Pop riding guys putting up Ofers out there while the young players ride the freaking pine bc "playoffs aren't for them" and those who play don't even get shots.

Spurs in 6. LMA going 15-20 ppg, Kawhi will score a lot, of course, but also he's going to slow down Harden, i hope Tony continues at this level, and at least 2 of the others drop some shots in one game, we need 2 good games of Patty and Manu. Spurs will suffer but we are going to win. :flag:

Grizz were frustrating to play to play but I didn't "hate" them. The refs didn't favor them, just got caught up in the moment.

That's going to completely change against Houston. We own Houston for 1995. Hopefully it's David vs Hakeem in reverse.

Harden is going to get some of the most bullshit calls you will ever see, like grabbing guys are around a pick flailing his arm for three free throws. Beverly is going to be one wrong step from putting someone out for the series every minute he's on the floor. You think fizzdale whined? Wait till you see Pringles on the sideline.

I already frustrated with the calls and it hasn't even started. :lol

Harden will avg 20 ppg from the line.

Harden is a choker. I cannot bring myself to predict him doing anything other than flopping his faggot head back and living at the FT line. He turns the ball over 4 times in a row to start every game. We could conceivably be up 8-0 in every game, 15-0 if we can get hot from 3 and win the opening tip.

Not enough... Simmons isn't getting shots when he's in ... Both have a short hook. Bertans only 4 minutes last game. Anderson was benched. Despite the hate here... he can help... maybe will need to if some roleplayers keep putting Ofers out there.

You will need to get League Pass over there, as the games likely won't be on TV. That's what I've done in the past. Had a hard time unsubcribing when I got home. Bill Mc might have some good tips.

They'll do on defense what Chicago did, which was to put their best player (Harden in this case) in the corner and beat the Spurs with everyone else. This keeps KL away from the paint. On offense, they will double KL on every possession and challenge the others to beat them. I think any time KL touches the ball he's going to see at least two people, maybe 3.

Sticking Harden in the corner? That would concede the series before it begins.

Pringles may have to double Kawhi, which will be a sight to see. I can't imagine they have the discipline that Memphis had.

I still think that if the first 50/50 game falls in our favor, it's a sweep.
Let's say this, for all the great competition that Memphis gave us, we could have easily won in 5 if that 50/50 game goes our way and if pop doesn't decide to go full high school teacher in game 3 we could have won that game too.
Game six wasn't as 50/50 as game 4 and that didn't go our way.

They did that with Jimmy Butler and they won. They won't win relying on Harden to win at the FT line unless Pop sticks with Gasol. You get KL out of the middle and Houston has enough talent to compete.
