Did I just roll into a thread where posters are trying to argue Fathead over Simmons? FFS. Fathead offers NOTHING except garbage time ability. He excels against poor athletes and/or poor talent. It is why he does well in SL and the last couple minutes of a game. He can't play meaningful minutes.

This is a damn good signing, especially for the price.

I dont get why some Spurs fans are upset with this... this is essentially a no lose deal. We got him cheap. If he plays well post injury, great. If he doesn't, oh well, an expiring contract to move if he opts in.

I also don't get Spurs fans who think this puts us in the same league as the Dubs..... and perhaps that is what is upsetting the other side.

Just try to look at this as a low risk play when we really don't have a shot at a ring. It's okay. Now if we would have gave him 36 over 3 years, you could be upset.
