hell theres still a good number of them who think that now
thats pretty fucked up. a lot more fucked up than "hey heres a progressive tax system that maintains a social safety net and if you make $250K or so you might pay a couple of percentage points more than other people on those larger paychecks, but its still worth it because you still make a lot of money and you probably have an accountant to find loopholes to offset those tax dollars anyway, oh and you get better police protection and personal freedoms where you get to live, you lucky piece of shit."
lol getting high and anal
Anything else?

Here is one way to view it:
You are part of a larger economy, and one of the prime beneficiaries of that wider economy.
Since you have benefitted more than others, do you not have a moral obligation to pay back into the system that created your wealth?

Marginal Income.
Would you rather people starve so you can keep a fraction of a penny more per dollar earned?
Below certain amounts of income, less money means making choices like electricity or food. Should these people be taxed at the same rate that you are?
Why or why not?

Why are Demos so obsessed with what people do in their private lives and private businesses as well? Is it morality (guns- biz owners refuting LGBT service-religion-patriotism, etc.)? Is it intolerance? Seems like you only look one way when you cross streets, Bubba. Per par.

We all benefit from investment in human capital.
Just sayin'.

Re: Kid Rock confirms Michigan Senate run
In 100 years, no matter how much or little money you make in your life, you will be just as dead.
What good will that extra $ do you when you are lying on your death bed?
"oh if I had only retained 2% more of my gross income"--- said nobody
I think a lot of people lose perspective sometimes, and forget basic humanity in a rush to judge others for some made-up character faults.

What are your charitable contributions this year, thus far, Mother Theresa?

The oligarchy only wants to invest capital in capital, not in (lower 80%) humans

I support a progressive tax system. The question is how much is too much and why should so many not pay their fair share so that they can live above their means. Are you pocketing your Bush tax cut or are you sending it back to the IRS for the good of society?

Maybe policies of 200 previous years harder to overcome than thought.
