Re: The Official 2017-18 UEFA Champions League Thread
A bit harsh penalty to give at that stage..That can only fuel the RUEFA conspiracy theory :lol..
But goddamn..Ronaldo has ice in his veins, tbh..Such a clutch SOB..

Love watching the World Cup, but let's be honest the Champions league is the greatest soccer show on earth..It really can't be surpassed in quality and drama..

He touched his back while kicking the ball in front of him and did a swan dive. No worries - most players would do that (risky by defender).
-
Re: The Official 2017-18 UEFA Champions League Thread
Commentators said it was a tough but not wrong call. Benatia does not hit the ball but hits Vazquez from behind, not much but enough.
That penalty was ice cold.

Re: The Official 2017-18 UEFA Champions League Thread
What a perfect penalty kick though

Benatia made no contact with the ball from the replays i saw (6-7), that's the problem.

It was a clear foul.
Why would Lucas dive, he had a clear shot

Re: The Official 2017-18 UEFA Champions League Thread
After last year's game against Paris and that dive from Suarez, Barca fans are pretty loud complaining. That penalty today was way more clear than the one last year. :lol

Re: The Official 2017-18 UEFA Champions League Thread
It was a legit penalty and honestly credit to Ronaldo for finishing it, but it’s going to be BS if Madrid won it this year, shame Bayern look like shit in this tournament.
Maybe Liverpool are our only hope but if salah gets marked out of the game Liverpool will get trashed.
-
Re: The Official 2017-18 UEFA Champions League Thread
Would Madrid ever win a CL without ref assistance? This was almost as bad as that time they robbed Bayern.

Meh. You only say that because CL has drama every year.
World cup dies down after a month or so.

How can you say the Suárez penalty was a dive when he got pushed on the upperbody and hit on the leg, but say this was a clear penalty? :lol

They are injured (Coman, Alaba,Thiago, Vidal) and Heynckes was rotating. I think they have puncher chance with Juup masterminding on the sidelines if they get healthy..

"Pushed" :lol Come on... And Benatia does not hit the ball, that closes the case. He tries, but fails.

Bayern is good. Heynckes have them rolling again.

That story again. Yeah, offside goals but no mention of 1 very wrong penatly, 1 50/50 penalty and the own goal from Nacho was due to offside from Lewandowski. If that is called, the game does not go into overtime.

Re: The Official 2017-18 UEFA Champions League Thread
Let's hope Bayern draw Madrid in the semi-finals to ensure an underdog makes it through to the final.
We all know UEFA won't allow that to happen though, they're heating the selection balls as we speak. :lol
